I really hope that we can all someday find out why he did this. The state admitted they didn't know but speculated he was just angry. For me that's hard to understand, I mean I get that people get road rage but this is far beyond just being angry and behind the wheel at the same time. He must have some deep hatred for mankind. There's a lot more going on there than just anger. I hope we find out
@ajordan1976

@@ericg4915 I know I might get hate for what I am going to say. But I believe crime partially motivated by hate not just anger. I've read and heard it stated his fb profile was full of derogatory statements against white people. I don't believe he premeditated the carnage he imposed on innocent people on 11/21/2021. I'm positive he was beyond angry and frustrated with his girlfriend. When he took a wrong turn or crashed through the barricade I believe his disregard for human life and obviously he feels repressed by white people he didn't hesitate to hurt them. Not just because they were white. But I believe it fueled his anger because of the discrimination he has experienced. Whether it's been real or imagined. I'm sure if the roles were reversed the media law enforcement wouldn't hesitate to call this a hate crine.

@@constellationface9774 i made some mistakes when i was younger and did some time. Any sex offender and/or child killer was treated very bad - add in how he runs his mouth and it makes it worse. I worked in the kitchen while locked up and saw first hand what they did to their food (you don't want to know. Lol). Besides that any chance that an inmate could get to these guys, they would make it count. It's somewhat a "trophy" to take guys like Darrell Brooks out.

My daughter worked in a prison for almost 9 years. Scared me out of my mind because she was a tiny little thing. The tiniest out of all the CO. It was a maximum all male facility and people like him. Not good. I think he'll be locked up 23 hours a day and let out for shower and closed in settings for exercise. The prison he'll be in I'm sure inmates in WI are following this.

A lot of people dont realize how frightening this trial is. The judges “patience” and “kindness” is actually pure aggression and assertiveness disguised to ensure at the end of this Trial Brooks will rot in prison for the rest of his natural life without any chance of appealing/mistrial. Hes being slowly buried and checkmated without even realizing it yet. Never take kindness for weakness. I would not categorize the interviewers methods as "Tricks". Moreover these are tactics that are used to develop trust, and a level of comfort in a short amount of time. When we make a new acquaintance we do not immediately spill our guts about our lives. That sometimes takes weeks, months or years. Hence, the interviewer has to "Break the Ice" quickly and effectively as they are seeking out information regarding a possible crime or wrongdoing. A difficult task to say the least. Some of the common methodologies are the Reid Technique, Mutt & Jeff, Motivational Interviewing, Kinesic Interviews, the CIA's "Spy the Lie", Positive Confrontation, among many others, while the interviewer needs to feel out their subject and determine what method will gain the greatest result in the least amount of time. Those who are known to the system are the hardest to interview, as they know the tactics as well. Therefore free forming the interview or manipulating ones aproach as you go is the only choice. Mr. Brooks is known to the system with a handful of convictions, including a sexual offence. This is why I am perplexed as to why he spoke to any detective, let alone an FBI Agent without requesting an attorney. Did he really think that after mowing down over 60 people and killing 6 that the FBI was interested in following up on a domestic abuse/violence report or incident. He should have known better, yet maybe he thought he would go down for a DV charge and the FBI would overlook carnage that took place. That or he thought he could talk his way out of it, just as he is demonstrating here at trial. Its quite perplexing, at minimum as this sovereign ideology he is practicing is not doing him any favors.

The only thing I can figure is Brooks' attitude. He probably thinks that lawyers that work for free have nothing to lose and nothing to gain, and will be passive and reactive on the objections and cross-exam. Which is plausible, especially in a case where there's no chance of winning. He might have narrow minded outlook of: 'I don't want no white lawyers that work for The Man and want to throw a N under the bus with plea deals n shit, hell naw. Public defenders do not have your best interest or want to devote any time they don’t have to. They are simply there to collect a check and give the appearance one has legal representation before the jury. Most times public defenders encourage one to take a plea bargain even in cases the alleged were innocent. When there are court buildings where there are full time public offenders and those offices located in that building, that should be pretty clear, they’re interest is in collecting a check from the state. We have a kangaroo court system in America that institutes state bias legislation and procedures to intimidate people into pleading to their charges whether guilty or innocent to further subsidize and profit from the prison industrial complex. If you believe different, their are people in prison for possessing a substance of a company that walked free and clear of marketing and distributing irregular amounts of prescription opioids that have plagued this nation. One construction court for unaccountable injustice for the haves and brutal accountability of “justice” for the have nots.

The costs of keeping a death penalty criminal in prison for the number of years it takes for all the appeals to go through - I believe the average is about 20 years (?) - is multiple times more costly than a sentence of Life in prison for x amount of years (in his case there would be 6 counts of murder, plus 30-ish counts of attempted homicide). It is about $90,000/prisoner/year vs. $33,275 for lifers.

@@IratePuffin , in many instances building a rapport, breaking the ice and gaining the trust of the subject starts prior to deploying the 9 steps of the Reid Technique. It starts with casual conversation, "are you hungry, do you want water, what do you think of the weather today, did you see the guy fall off of his bike on the way over here, darn the game last night was great did you see it". There are many more that are used, as that is just a tasting. Some interviewers incorporate the casual talk along with Mirandizing (Reading Their Rights) the subject and signing paperwork that is just brushed over. I dont agree with that method, as the conversation is being used as a distraction device. This in the hopes that the subject will be overwhelmed with the speed of the process and amount of paperwork, and just sign the forms to get that step out of the way. Its preferred to focus just on the Miranda reading and acknowledgement signatures, that way there is no doubt of the subjects understanding or claims of trickery later on. After the pleasantries, the conversation will minutely segue into what the subject did that day,... usually starting off with when did you wake up or what did you have for breakfast and take me through your day. Step 1 only kicks off when the interviewer begins to confront the ambiguities of their statement and the game is afoot. Sometimes this can take 15 minutes to begin or an hour and a half. It all depends on how maluable the subject is and what is garnered within the conversation. Some people are a brick wall like Stephen McDaniels and others won't shut up like Stephanie Lazarus. Then you get the ones in the middle that will tell you everything, yet conveniently leave out key times of the day or actions made depending on the scenario. Its a nerve-racking position to have yet it does afford a lot of satisfaction when victims minds are put at ease or they find some level of closure. Ultimately its not so much about catching the bad guys and gals, its about helping those who have been wronged, injured or killed and justice being administered on their behalf as well as the community.

That man isn't manic depressive as his mother said! He's very clearly a narcissistic personality who also despises authority and particularly women! He's made this whole trial about him, and I think he believed he had this trial and all the people in it under his control. Typical narcissist when confronted with his own behaviour, pleading ignorance, gaslighting and finally rage when the other two didn't work. That judge deserves a medal! @@justthatgirl-ct4jo yes it does get thrown around. I based my opinion on certain factors and criteria he fulfilled in bucket loads of narcissistic personality disorder. I think a clear marker in the difference between any type of bipolar and narcissistic tendencies is the clear lack of empathy with anyone outside of himself, along with deep rooted denial and a total lack of taking any accountability of his actions. Narcissists are extremely well versed in mental and verbal gymnastics, which plays out as gaslighting. His huge ego caused him to seriously underestimate his opponents in the court room, and he has sealed his own fate!
