Darth Sidious and Super Battle Droid Review - Star Wars Black Series 

I definitely had the blast effect upside down which was causing it to point slightly upward, if you flip it it's more straight in line with the arm.

Absolute pure hype. Prequel film characters in the Black Series?!?! Say it ain't so!

I can understand your dislike of soft goods from the black series, a lot of the time they can come out looking frumpy. But since making my own customs I’ve come to really love fabric. A trick I use to give textiles more weight and shape is running them under cold water

I got Sidious in last week, I am in like with the figure. I know some complain about the body being reused from Luke but I don’t have an issue with it. He’s been my most wanted figure in the line and finally I have it

Oh! You or one of your artists should sculpt a cloak for Sidious for a resin 3d print! Kinda like the jedi robes you did. Maybe one static and one action pose? The sleeves might be tricky, but I'm sure whatever design you came up with would be amazing! Great review as always!

Great video! Still waiting to get the Battle Droid, but Darth Sidious is currently my favorite Black Series of the year. I've been wanting Hasbro to make him for a while now and he doesn't disappoint for me.

Kinda just wish the hood came down a bit further.

I want that battle droid, and I'd get Palpy if he actually had a cloth hood or at least a replacement hood part so you can take out the hood and see more of the head.

I want good posability out of my action figures, so him having soft goods robes is great. Black Series have been improving with soft goods lately. I hate when figures are just traffic coned by inflexible plastic robes. I would've prefered a soft goods hood too, but this looks decent enough, though it seems to sit a little high. The Super Battle Droid looks like a beast. Good that they gave us a laser blast effect. Everyone with a blaster should have one.

I am super excited to pick these up. All the new prequel figures and rereleases this year has me super hyped.

I knew I liked Luke for a reason and it’s because he too despises soft goods. I think it’s necessary for certain figures like give Mando soft good so his Jetpack can fit on his back but otherwise soft plastic cape. One of my personal biggest grapes with soft goods is Asajj Ventress that dress is tacky looking and it’s not like they didn’t have a soft plastic covering from the original figure that the lower half is mostly reuse of dark Rey.

I pre order Darth sidious, can't wait to get mine 😁

You should get some black bobby pins. They work great on gathering capes etc and you can hide them easily.

Got em both ordered, just waiting for them to come in. Loved all 6 of the Prequel beat figures we got and hope we get more next year! Hoping some more updates named clones from RotS as well

1:38 Isn't this an incorrect hilt colorway for this version of Sidious? This was his hilt in the Palpatine vs. Windu fight. During his duel with Yoda, the hilt was the same design but with a dark bronze color. This can be seen in a close-up shot of Sidious swinging the saber, promotional images when he's wearing this outfit, and a Star Wars Episode III Lightsaber Props video.

Although I’m not super interested in them I was surprised to see both of these at my local GameStop here in Canada, I was half tempted to get Palps lol

Hybrid plastic and soft goods is the way to go if they’re dead set on giving us cloth instead of flexible robes like the imports

Just about 2 months ago I started looking into Black Series and it's so stupid that they didn't have these figures earlier. I know that Disney is forcing them to make newer stuff from their shows but both Disney and Black Series know that these 2 figures would sell magnitudes better than anyone from the Ahsoka show.

Personally I prefer the cloth hoods. I think they had the right idea with the Kylo ren reissue, the one with the 2 stitches in the hood to make it sit right. They perfected it with malgus though by gluing it down, and I wish they did it here too. Having the entire figure cloth and then a plastic hood just looks weird to me If done right like malgus’ is, then figures like sidious and Revan would look infinitely better

Hasbro is so freaking lazy. I really hoped that sidious would have been good. The fact that hasbro reused Luke's lower body and re used the lightning effects from the old one sure shows. What ashame...
