Darton Archery Acquired by Randy Kitts 

After listening to Randy talk I want to support him and Darton bows. I will be getting a new bow this year and will check out all their offerings. Good luck Randy, you are good people inside and out. 👍💯%

Jacob Slusarz destroyed the competition with these bows in the IBO semi-pro class two years ago and made the pro shootoff at the NFAA Indoor Nationals and finished 4th in the USA Archery finals. Was he the only pro shooting a Darton at the time? I'd say that says volumes about the work behind the bows. It should be fun to watch as Darton begins to have a presence in the competitive arena amongst the pros. Hopefully, Slusarz is one of the pros to go forward with Darton in the new direction.

Please update the Darton aesthetic. A tribal tattoo on the grip is a non starter. I’m from Michigan and I totally get northern Michigan being 20 years out of style but we’re going nationwide. We need to look the part.

I find this interesting. I think this will be a win for Darton. Here's a perspective from a Bowhunter and someone who really enjoys the sport of archery. I got in to archery over twenty five years ago and I've owned a couple of Mathews, a couple of Hoyt's. an APA and my last two were Bowtech. That's not to say I wouldn't buy a Darton. Of course I would. But I've never shot one and have only handled a Darton on one occasion. I live in North Carolina and there are no dealers here. So I've never shot a Darton. If I did, I'd probably like it. So, it'll be nice to see if more dealers will now carry the brand. Darton has always had a great reputation. But the reality of the archery business is that the industry just isn't that big. It's sort of a niche business. In my state, for example, there aren't that many Bowhunters. So, there's only so much of the pie to go around. The industry is dominated by four or five players. We all know who they are. And we've seen a couple of long time companies like Parker and Ben Pearson shut down. You don't see Martin anymore. They've been on the ropes for a long time. The good news is that last year here in NC sales of hunting licenses were up over 30%. That's hopefully true for a lot of states. Maybe a by product of Covid. But this will be great for Darton and will probably energize their brand. I bet it will. It would be nice to see Darton as a significant player in archery again. I hope they do well

On the engineering, PLEASE don't make any more cams that have modules that cover the string post! I got rid of my XT immediately after seeing that doing something as simple as turning in my peep was not going to be so simple on the XT. From a life long Darton fan, that was a HUGE disappointment!

Super interview PJ I have never met Mr. Kitts, but I look forward to doing so in the future, I did meet Rex many years ago. I was the west coast Sales Rep for Darton in 1969 when all Darton Made were top of the line recurve bows from $19.95 kids bows to the Darton Executive. Mr. Kitts, has great perspective and has archery and dealers foremost in his mind and attitude.

Its about time Lancaster and Darton are pairing up!!! Great news. I have owned a Darton Spectra E for two years now, by far my fastest and smoothest shooting bow. The "E" system balances the cam out perfectly for no cam lean. Its a simple tuning system by a genius in Rex Darlington. This is great news for an Icon American Archery Company!!!

It took you guys this LONG to do a review for Darton just because it got bought out? Darton is the most underrated archery company ever I just hope prices don’t go up now on there bows and they always have a price point bow. also I thought it was funny that he said not selling any thing with demon because I don’t like it and then says not every one likes zombies but we are keeping them????????? Demon is a badass name for a bow and I’m actually going to buy a black demon bow tomorrow on the website just because what he said there going to rename the best bow name ever.....

First bow I bought when I came to San Antonio was a Darton Maverick. Excellent forgiving comfortable to shoot bow. Only bow I’ve ever shot multiple Robin Hood’s with. Market slowly dwindled and I retired the bow until two years ago. Found a local shop with an owner who would work on older bows. My son now shoots and loves that bow. Please come to San Antonio!

Randy, your presence has put Darton on my radar. You may be your best marketing tool! Any dealers in VT/NH?
