i just remember seeing another performance with the same mc for the same track, but i dont remember when and where, just wish i could see it again, any chance you have all those kind of videos to send
Same. I'm going to Toronto my first time next month from Saskatchewan and I'm going to be a block away from where they taped this show. So many memories of watching this show on tv.
That's cool you were there! I was there for this taping too, but I was outside :-( By your profile name, I know which dancer you are too! So true though, electronic music and the club scene was soooooo much better back then - I miss it dearly. Thanks for watching :-)
Awesome Performance! It have Darude's full discography including his unofficial album called "Ignition". I have to agree with some of these comments stating that "the MC needs SHUT UP!!!". It seems that the MC wants to be center of attention. It's Darude's performance. Was the MC booked for the show as well? The woman speaking didn't mention anything about the MC & spoke to Darude live on the show. Bottom line is this show is focused on Darude & the MC needs to back off. Other than that, the show was amazing. Darude is one of my most favorite Trance artist. I even plan to spin his ignition album (unofficial album) at my future gig.
I once saw a similar video but Darude made a live mixin part in the middle of "Feel The Beat" sooo nice (think the name of the clip contained something with "Mania" in it but im not sure) hope to see it again pleease upload /send it to me someone :-D
Look at that old mac laptop, sheeh, that must've cost him an arm & a leg back then. Also, that VJ dude is so annoying xD Gotta let the DJ create the vibes yo!
I remember watching this on TV live and being so pissed off with the MC. What a complete joke to have that goof on those tracks. He was mocking the music and completely ruins it. Who's decision was that? Embarrassing. Too much "hip hop" injected into the show in the later years.
My decision, my MC, Chris is his name, and I still stand by it, not one ounce embarrassed. Was it unconventional? Sure. Was it sometimes a lot? Perhaps. But at that time I wanted something else, too, not just me masturbating the synth, sequencer & fx unit knobs and trying to look like a Mr. Cool DJ, I wanted someone on stage with me so I wasn’t the only focus point, and that there was better connection between my act and the crowd. A track or two of that condensed a lot of Chris’ vocals to a shorter time, but in a 60-90 minute set there were several tracks where he wasn’t on stage at all.
