It was my dream to be on Electric Circus ! Ahhhh !! Gutted me that I wasn't old enough to go to Toronto and dance with everyone by the time it ended. EC really shaped my musical interests, I really got into eurobeat/parapara dancing and pystrance after. The fashions on EC were so amazing too, especially coming from the perspective of a young lady living in a small town in Alberta. Good memories
He might well have been the first "guest DJ "to play songs on the EC.I saw him (and some accompanying dancers of his;if I recall correctly) on the EC on a Saturday afternoon in the fall of 1990.
Being on Electric Circus was so hype. I remember when they played Sean Paul I was like I'm there it was fun those were the good times.I don't understand why they took the show out?? Should have kept it going through generations.. I wish I got to meet Monica she looks so beautiful still got that Vibe that's what I like about her..
@Nicholas C House/techno music aint even popular no more what would they play lol? I guess they could make it nostalgic type of thing but to me, I still think I wouldn't work out.
@@lisaray101 Hypothetically, they could play good dance songs from various hard rock & heavy metal bands (as well as various other types of great dance songs from today & yesterday). It was great that--in the first season of the Electric Circus--some Hard rock/heavy metal songs got played.(Alannah Myles,Sass Jordan & AC/DC;I definitely recall seeing then.)
I was a guest dancer and the only American dancer on the show. Yasmine was the dance coordinator at the time. That was the greatest experience in my life. I was wearing a Toronto Raptors jersey at the time and it was summer time. I was attending my cousins wedding after I was on the show. I miss my fellow Canadian Dancers!!!!!! EC 4 Life 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Such an awesome show back in the day!!! I love dancing & wrote in to apply to be a dancer, I got accepted & went downtown solo🎉 to check it out, 2001-ish) I was always hiding in the corner with shades on, trying to stay OFF camera, but once JP actually talked me to me LIVE, out of the blue lol! OMG ~ I had a Corporate Job in TO after finishing my MBA & ppl recognized me at work on Monday, whaaat?!! SO many folks watched at home, on Friday nights LOL. I denied BIGtime, ppl thought I had a twin haha 😂 Anyhow it was super fun, I was 30 (probably the oldest on there, most were 20 lol) ~ we would all go dancing after the show to Joker Night Club 🎶 FUN times & memories, met some great peeps too! THX for BEing a unique trail blazing awesome show EC! (Monika was the best host, Nadine & JP etc did well too)
A very long time ago when EC was still on but it was more HIP HOP and POP music with VJs. I contacted Much Music and ask to speak to someone in the Library dept. I asked them if they could make me dvds of every single EC up to a certain year. They said they wouldn't do it because of copyright. I said i'm not looking at putting it online, i'm not looking at selling it. I would even sign something stating its for my own personal copy. They asked for my name and number and said someone would get a hold of me. I then spoke to some guy who claimed to be a supervisor who said they couldn't take that chance and denied me. I bet they probably thew every single video of EC and any other shows in the garbage the moment they got bought out.
The Electric Circus only started on City TV (broadcast live on Saturday afternoons) in September 1988 & would then go to Much Music (broadcast live on Friday nights) in mid-summer 1993. You would have to be referring to another TV show (American Bandstand;maybe?)
My son's Father performed on that show. South Central, featuring Torrie. Song called Reaching, off Wayne Williams CD Feel the Vibe. Been trying to find the footage for years, if anyone could help, I would appreciate it.
