I like to think of group hug effects to be similar to the stax strategy. This deck really shows off how to break parity and get more value than your opponents do as your deck functions
Haze of Rage can also go infinite with storm-kiln artist, as soon as you reach storm count 4 it pays for itself and from there it starts to generate more and more mana and giving more and more power to your creatures (just in case it matters) it also synergize well with sentinel tower or any other card that cares about your storm count since we are casting the same spell again and again.
Amazing video as always! One thing to consider with Daryl against the adnaus player is the politics of handing out three 2/2 tokens. You can incentivize the opponent receiving them to attack the adnaus player. If you're not killing off the walker tokens, then the damage will accumulate each turn, making it very hard for the adnaus player to have a high enough life total to pull off the win.
That is a good input. But I am not sure that is enough all the time. Ad naseaum is just the example of the collectiv. Peer into the abyse is there too.
@@cedhtv Very true. Unless you're running Tibalt's Trickery to counter Ad Nauseam or the main combo piece, you're at the mercy of any other blue players at the table to counter the adnaus.
Daryl is by far one of the best cEDH lists. People have no idea what to expect and are afraid to play all of their x/2 creatures and commanders. I typically draw 8+ cards a game from Daryl. Sometimes i leave the zombies in play so they can beat up on the Ad Naus players. Then you play a board wipe and draw 5+ cards and then potentially go for the win. You just let others waste their resources trying to rebuild and win while you sit back and slowly ping off creatures. Also creature based stacks are easily killed and you can pick and choose which ones to pick off to slow down your other opponents and then pick off the ones you need when you want to storm off. Very underrated commander with a high win rate.
For those who can't afford Drop of Honey I highly suggest Culling Scales! It's 2 more mana however it has more utility in that you can also use it to destroy moxes and other 0 cost artifacts.
@@cedhtv i really thought it would work since hansk is the one with the trigger to make the tokens but i guess because the wording is opponent creates…..that is sad, i just bought homeward path for $8 for the deck. Gonna add more wipes in that case and add mob rule as a mini insurrection.
Love the deck! Do you think it would be viable to forgo cards like Sentinel Tower and early harvest and just rely on the dualcaster combo to win? Some of the storm cards feel a bit clunky imo and could maybe be replaced with more stax cards.
Ruric thar can easily kill ad nauseam strategies. Moreover it only deal 6 to you with the storm combo because you only cast one spell, the others are copies and they don't trigger ruric

Can someone plis explain the reap infinite mana combo, i dont understand how you can use manamorphose to draw into the reap with noxious revival i mean, when you cast the manamorphose you are generating green mana to play reap and noxious revival but then you draw a card before the noxious revival resolves right?
Hey! This combo seems cool, and I’m sorry to jump in here so much later, but my head is still having trouble wrapping around the infinite mana portion. You need to pay 2 to cast reap, then cast noxious revival, then manamorphose to draw the reap, but where are you getting the mana to do that? Rite of flame only nets one, and I can see it with jeska’s will, but someone needs to have a pretty full grip to make that work. I’m sorry to bring this back up, but I think it’s really cool, and I’d like to better understand it. Thanks for the content!
You can have that combo in the list. Problem with it is that you start playing a bunch of creatures in a board wipe deck. You would have to change a bunch of things with the deck. But you can have it.
@@cedhtv not sure that your list would become worse with the snoop lines. Because Daryl is your card draw engine in the command zone, you get access to loads of one card combos. Goblin matron, goblin recruiter, mogg catcher, goblin engineer and imperial recruiter all become one card combos.
