Hi country/ bluegeass Chris Stapleton, (TENNASEE WHISKEY) fabulous lyrics, he even sung it with Justin Timberlake but the him alone was best 💚💜😘🥰😍🤩😘🥰😍🤩
FINALLY, AFTER 400 YEARS, you react to "Out of touch" My fav song of theirs of all time. Fact checkers are telling me it hasn't been 400 years more like a little over a year. My mistake.
That's ok. I've been waiting 8,000 years for him to do "One on One". I had a small crush on Daryl Hall but that crush became huge when I discovered the video for that song LOL
They're the best. I swear there's something in the water in Philadelphia. Every talent out of there is sensational. I love Hall and Oates. 'Say It Isn't So' is another one from them I love. All of their music is kickass. Period. 80s ICONS!!!!!
Man the wife and I caught them in Little Rock Arkansas couple years ago. Epic show. Plus, there were older black folks, white folks, young kids, middle aged people, you name it, every walk of life was represented. And all dancing and enjoying the show and each other. It was a great escape from reality.
What I love about this channel is your enthusiasm for all kinds of music. Every track you listen to get you bopping along and getting really into the tune.
@@KeredCross The Mix in Saints Row 2 was easily the best radio in any video game, ever. EDIT: List of songs for unaware: Simple Minds - Don't You (Forget About Me) Men At Work - Down Under Tears for Fears - Everybody Wants to Rule the World Culture Club - Karma Chameleon Hall & Oates - Out of Touch The Psychedelic Furs - Pretty in Pink Night Ranger - Sister Christian A-ha - Take on Me Europe - The Final Countdown Duran Duran - The Reflex Loverboy - Working for the Weekend Also does this count as suggestions for reactions? :P
I saw them in concert in 2019 and played this song just with guitars and I'm telling you they sound EXACTLY the same as they did in the 80s. It's crazy!
The 1980s were a much more inclusive time than we have today. It was the same way with country, in the 80s it was all about the sound not ethnicity like we are obsessed about today. People of all races, religions, sexual preferences danced together to all the best music. Love, respect, honesty, and decency, we had it in the 1980s but it has been taken from us by the elites.
My favorite song by them! My late Father's too. He used to groove to this song. Thanks for reacting to this and bringing back some good memories. It's so cool when you love a song and then you watch someone else like or love it when they listen to it the first time. It's relatable and brings us back to our first time listening and all the memories that come up every time we hear that song. Thank you!
“Rich Girl” from 1976. “Sara Smile” was from 1975. “She’s Gone” was from 1973. I remember hearing these songs on the AM radio in my parents’ car on road trips as a kid. They established themselves before the 80s came around. They’re just legendary... and fun.
Hall & Oates played at a place I worked in DE (Whats up, Bahama Mamas?😃) which was a Tiki bar w/a barge across the waterway that had a stage. It was very cool. Anyway, they performed (so good we forgot we were working) & got to meet them afterwards. Hall legit had a sore throat after performing so he mainly thanked us for working their show & said hi to us but Oates talked to us for AGES. It was one of the best nights I’ve ever had. Love Hall & Oates!
@Luna Raven Haha...well that Jay for ya... he brings people together over their love of Music... and Hall & Oats were one of those Bands that just had soul..... he's got to stop making feel so old 🤣🙏
A lot of people have forgotten just how HUGE these guys were in the 80s. They were literally everywhere during that decade. I might be wrong...it's been a long time since I've heard this...but I think this might actually be the 12-inch single remix of the song and not the original album version.
The album starts with the track Dance on your knees which is used in the beginning of this video version. On the album it goes into the second track which is Out of touch. There's also an extended version of Dance on your knees on the 12" of Possession Obsession. All extended versions are available in the cd of the album.
My generation went absolutely crazy for Hall and Oates. They were HUGE hit makers, one after another. They have so much talent that has lasted the test of time.
Produced by Arthur Baker, a producer that was very popular in the late '80s. He had a very recognizable sound. He also produce Swept Away by Diana Ross. He always uses xylophones in his mixes.
Hall & Oates were one of the biggest hit makers of the 80s! From high school through college, they were a HUGE part of my life soundtrack! The 80s were such a great time to be a music lover!
YAY!!! You've reacted to one of my absolute favorite Hall & Oates tracks - and Your smiling face warms my heart!💕 "DO IT FOR LOVE" (amongst so many other tracks...) by this duo is another MUST listen, my friend - these guys were one of the ultimate hit makers, spanning decades!
Some of their other hits are Maneater, Rich girl, Adult education. My personal favorite is their Ooh Yeah! album from 1988 and there are good songs like I'm in pieces, Missed opportunity and Everything your heart desires :)
This song reminds me of Saturdays at the roller skating rink. Oh how I loved growing up in the 80's. I would give up the "modern conveniences" of today in a heartbeat to go back!
I got a huge crush on Daryl Hall lol. He looks so handsome!!! And John Oates is one of the guys I know who can truly rock the moustache! The other being Tom Selleck!
High school days! The remix version. Great time for music...MTV began, turned music on its side. Daryl and John hated this video, and videos in general. But good memories.
This is the first time I have seen the video, I used to hear this on the radio lol, I suppose that ages me especially watching my children dancing in the kitchen to it. I have some great memories of music from the past, thats the joy of music to me. Then there are your comments about the songs you listen to, it makes the song complete for me. God bless you all love hugs and peace Mary-Ellen UK
LOL. I bought their vinyl album "Bigger Than Both of Us" in 1976 with my weekly $3.00 allowance (three week's worth saved up!!) Played it till the grooves wore out 😎✌💓🎵
Dynamic Duo of the 80s. Righteous Brothers 60s, Everly Brothers 50s, early 60s. Darryl's voice is incredible. This and Sara Smile r my favorites. Very good choice to react to.
Who was there in the 1990s? Outkast? Daft Punk? The White Stripes? Robson & Jerome? Hmm, none of them seem to fit in. The pop duo is dead for a long time
Hall and Oates are amazing, so many great songs. They had really good musicians working with them. Check out Daryl's House where Daryl invites artists to jam at Daryl's House with truly amazing musicians.
H2O is indeed my favorite duo i like Genesis wham chicago queen But Hall and Oates r my brothers from another mother My favorite duo of all times Still rocking there music
Amazing songwriters. Sound as good today as they did back then. Catch them in concert. You won't be disappointed. New album in progress. Philly soul at 75 years old. Still going strong.
Hall & Oates were magic and one of my favorite bands. An amazing song and they have many. I love Daryl Hall's voice. You're right, it's the kind of songs tos start a good day. Someone who had hit after hit was Nik Kershaw in 84....62 weeks in the charts back then.
the radio version does not have those breaks like the video, although it still has that 80s sound. you are right. they were the hits machine for a couple of decades.
80's extended mix, that were a thing back then, often released on Lp - sized singles. At 5:58 the third guy is bassist Tom "Tbone" Wolk who sadly suddenly passed away 2010. He played with Hall & Oates almos 30 years and was in "Live At Daryll's House" - show as well and in "Saturday Night Live" house band.
I love the extra bit we get at the start of this music vid. Out Of Touch was one of the best 80s song ever. It's been forever since I heard this music vid edit. Fantastic blast back to the 80s.
It might be the nostalgia factor, but I prefer this video version of the song to the one they played on the radio. I love the breakdowns they threw in. I always jam out to this one, it makes you move and the vocals (and lyrics) are amazing. Thanks for reacting to my favorite Hall & Oates song!
I remember as a kid listening to American top 40 and Hall and Oats "Kiss on My List" being number one followed by Sheena Easton's "Morning Train" then Smokey Robinson's "Being With You." I remember it vividly cause me and my family used to take rides up the Coast of California on Sunday's when American Top 40 would come on. "Kiss on My List" was the first song that made me love Hall and Oats.
The most successful Rock duo in US pop history. Great song. Check out some of their earlier music from the albums War Babies and Whole Oates. They never equaled their US success across the pond.
One of my favorites from them! You have to hear She's Gone! With Sara Smile you have my top 3 favorite Hall & Oates jams! Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, baby!
