I'm completely, without exaggeration, in love with him, seeing him sing and speak, causes me a nostalgic euphoria, who knows, we have already been together in another life, who knows?
Daryl is unbelievable. One of the best singers/performers/musicians of our time. Every time I hear this live version, I turn into this teary eyed fool. Pure emotion.. fantastic stuff.
I'm obsessed with his songs and the artist. The way he presents himself is so hypnotic and I'm just in awe with him. Especially everytime I hear this song, I could cry, and I just can't take my eyes off him. I'm talking here like I'm inlove with him! If I have a chance to dump my husband for him, I would in a heartbeat! Hee hee
15 anos depois respondo-te: não faças isto! A ilusão é um drink que convida-nos a perder. Não faças isto... tudo é uma ilusão. Nem tenho a certeza que estás viva...
Daryl absolutely detests the usuage of the term "blue eyed soul" he has always been vocal about it through the years. He is "The Voice" as I call him1 Thanks Daryl!
RIP T-Bone ...you're a huge reason why I love Hall and Oates since my childhood....you were always just as important and I know Hall and Oates would agree Thank You for sharing your gifts with the world
In my opinion, I find him to be one of the most good-looking male rock stars around, and one of the best singers. I saw H&O twice. One last year too. If they tour here again, I'll go again for sure.
Great to see Daryl doing this tremendous song back when it was new. Also great to see him performing with 2 of his H&O bandmates - T-Bone Wolk on bass & G.E. Smith on lead guitar.
Thank you. I've been a huge fan of Hall & Oates since 1982. Loved them ever since. And Daryl Hall is such a beautiful and talented artist. It's hard to get over him...haha
He's one of the best! Saw him and Oates recently in Vancouver, Canada. It was amazing! Their vocals have improved more and they're ageless. They both look good, especially Daryl! Girls were screaming in the audience. The concert was just amazing. Can't get enough H&O, and I especially looovvveeee Daryl!
Love Love Love this song and This Man!He is amazing,Heart and Soul!Cheryl from PA/DE Hall & Oates are amazing have seen them over 10 times, they just keep getting better!!!Beautiful Song!!!!
when I view videos of Daryl alone or with John and see T Bone, I am sad. I met him in the Denver airport in the security line after attending a Hall and Oates concert in Aug of '09. Who knew. What a nice man. And oh so talented. Daryl must be crushed. RIP, T Bone. J
I knew Hall had talent when I saw him with Costello " Not the only flame in town "... back in the day. Since then his music sometimes has brought me to tears.
Daryl Hall is so amazing. He's the only singer I know (besides my husband) who sounds just as good (or better) live than on a recording every single time.
Some songs I can string together in my head as absolutely digging in to the depths of heartbreak and despair...the types of songs that hand you your heart torn and broken and finally forced into the forefront of one's mind no matter how hard we try to fool ourselves. Parallel Lines by Todd Rundgren, Someone Like You Mr Hall, Leaving me Now Level 42, Bonnie Rait singing I Can't Make You Love me.....
Oh thanks so much for posting this video. I have seen both Daryl and John in concert, and they sound so fabulous live. I love this song. Today's music definitely lacks this kind of talent.
True "blue eyed soul". Daryl Hall's voice so smooth and strong, Hall and Oates puts on a great concert too. I miss artist who like them as a group or Daryl Hall solo who actually have talent and don't have to depend on a producer or a mixer to make them sound good like so much of the crappy stuff that is passed off as music today by the one hit wonders. I found a great anthology CD of Hall and Oates that had their hits plus the solo stuff.
I guess I just remember back in the day when singers like Boz Scaggs, AWB, Michael McDonald and others were so popular and crossed over to R&B. Daryl Hall, had many R&B influences from his time at Temple, he (they with John Oates) had that soulful Philly sound that most white groups were not doing, maybe it was Hall's influence and work with Gamble and Huff, or the R&B groups he sang backup for, either way I'm just glad he is still recording because his voice and talent get better with time.
