I just received one of these units as a gifts so I'm watching a variety of YT clips to get hints on how to use it, lessons etc. Now I knew not to overload cooker with too many ingredients that melt(cheeses for example) without allowing longer cook time. Thnx!!
reason your second dish was runny is from the tomatoes, they have a lot of moisture in them. you can try patting them dry before putting them in the mixture
My favorite was dish #3..... #2 needed longer cooking, like you said.Nice review!!! Just wish I had patience, because a pan with some melted butter (yes BUTTER :) ), is quicker and gives that good seared like texture.... opposed to the steaming.... which is healthier I know.
Thank you for capturing the alarm. I heard about the noise being loud and sharp, but wasn't expecting it to be so loud. If only they could've picked a different sound.
Glad I watched the video before purchasing one. I like to saute my vegies before adding them to the egg mixture. I take out all the inside of the tomatoe before adding to the rest.
This video was a nice change from all the over produced cooking videos I typically watch that are filmed in super kitchens by scripted chefs. Doug, you remind me of me while cooking. Great video and I had a few chuckles along the way (RU-vid Broadcasting System, Mickey Mouse...!).
I am a new subscriber, and enjoy your videos! Have you thought about purchasing the Copper Chef pan? Would love to see your take on that cookware!!! Have a great day!
+Cookingwithdoug I wonder if this egg machine works for making scrambled eggs. I love scrambled eggs, but I can't make them without Mom's help, since the stove in my apartment cooks really hot, even on 3-1/2! Funny the beeping noise when it's done sounds to me like either a restaurant fryer or a smoke alarm. That would probably be enough to startle someone blind like me. This is especially so because I live in a studio apartment, which is one of many in an apartment complex with 7 buildings, each with 8 apartments (two of those buildings are reserved for those like me who have developmental disabilities), and since I share a common wall with my next-door neighbors and a common ceiling with my upstairs neighbors, it would probably startle them too!
OK after watching all of the fun things you made, I'm going to order one after all! Just will have to turn it it off the minute it starts screaming. HA!!
Ya know the egg doesn't need to be standing up too cook. You could still have used the poaching tray layed the egg down on one side, and the sausage aon the other. Then there 's alway the deluxe double decker cooker like I have.
I have this cooker, but I have a problem with it. I put in the right amount of water (and even more), but the water evaporates into steam way and the buzzer sounds way before the time is up and I end up with very undercooked eggs. Anybody know the reason for this?
Wassup dougie fresh? I m not sure if u have an Aldi market in ur town but I'd like if u could add those gadgets to ur page as well. these gadgets work just as well as the name brands. just bought an egg cooker for 12.99 there. it works fantastic. they have grills, griddles, fryers, flat tops etc. check them out if u have not all ready. anyhoo, I love these darn videos. the only thing is I am looking to see how long I should steam veggies and hot dogs. lol. but home skillet, lemme tell ya, a sistah is abt to head downstairs, pop in those English muffins, poach my eggs, steam my Canadian bacon, add my asparagus and pour over the hollandaise and a couple turns on the pepper grinder for a great Sunny Sunday eggs benedict. even tho it's raining here in TX, lol. anyhoo, thanks for loving u and being u, God bless u and Happy Sunday.
They've changed it!! They must have been getting lots of complaints because I just bought a new one and it's a nice little musical sound. Not too loud at all!
I have had my Dash Rapid Egg cooker since August 29, 2016. I have used it only a few times (4 or 5) and today the buzzer goes off after 2 minutes. What can I do. I know this is not right.
I have this egg cooker by Dash and the more updated one. The cooker works well but when it comes to omelets, common sense is required. Lightly shake the omelet pan once cooked, to see if there's movement, because if there is, you should cook it longer, unless a firm omelet isn't the objective. Watch how much eggs and other ingredients you put in the pans, because you don't want them to overflow. If you don't pay attention to that detail, cleaning the base will be bothersome, etc..
This video violates one of the many instructions as given in the owners manual. The manual says that while you are cooking, that the top clear plastic cover is NOT to be positioned in the locked position. This video shows the clear plastic cover in the locked position while cooking. Please note that I also made this same mistake for about a month after I started using my Dash daily after I got it.
No, that was the small end of the egg, if it really matters... Day 1 breakfast looks okay for my kid and he could use this without burning down the house. Day 2 looked gross! But, if the egg cooked enough, he should not get sick. BTW, how little is that pan?! Looks like a Suzy Bake toy! This certainly wouldn’t work for a family, but for singles, this lil cooker may be good. Not really impressed about this thing, but for the dough, it may be okay. Got an Instant Pot earlier this year and I can cook a whole dozen eggs in 5 mins! So Dash doesn’t do it for me...
+Don D lol that was my first time using it tho, it's legit, check out my other videos...do a search on "egg cooker omlette" and you should my video and tell me what you think....DEFINATELY GET THIS THO
