The guy did the right thing calling it in. Those people who referred to him as a snitch are no better than the inebriated driver the troopers finally pulled over.
David Kathleen Brusky I bet if one of those calling him a snitch had a loved one injured by a drunk driver, they would be jumping up and down asking this could have been prevented if only someone called it in.
@@NoName-qt6wb I'm sorry you had to go through that. There are far too many idiots on the road that think it is their right to break the rules at every moment. If they are regular law breakers and they have a proven bad driving record, they should lose their license for ever. I like you philosophy, let them see what it is like to be a crash test dummy.
the only people who call others snitches are 5 year olds and thugs lol. anyone saying that hes snitching is pathetic. I saw someone once say that anyone who calls you a snitch is probably someone who deserved to be snitched on lol.
That dashcammer sounds like he has had a job where he has had to give clear concise information under less than desirable circumstances. He did a fantastic job.
Not at all!!! The man giving the Police all the information was being extremely helpful. The driver in the blue car should not have been driving. Thank goodness the chap following continued to give the commentary to the police. The chap in the blue car could have killed someone or worse still someone’s children. Thank goodness for people like this.
@@kimthreadgold2755 He definitely sounds like he wanted to be a cop, got rejected for some reason and this was the perfect opportunity to act like one CLOWN 🤡
how tf y’all calling him a snitch for basically saving peoples lives so it won’t be a bad accident ... y’all wouldn’t be saying that if you were the one driving and got hit by the reckless individual 😑
blueridgeocean apparently because i see that all in the comments as if him calling was the wrong thing to do ..people be upset when a reckless driver kills innocent people but they live & now people don’t want to prevent it at all ?
Amira Brown right what if you were driving and a reckless driving person hit the back of your car with your children inside, or even other loved one let alone yourself, more like he’s a hero
I called in a DUI once and they told me to keep following the car. I told them they were going very fast (over 80 mph) but they still told me keep following. Eventually the driver got off at an exit and the cops intersected him. Always report idiots like this before they kill someone
@@christopher7804 at what point did his praise sound over the top?? Its a direct comment stating his demeanor....sounds to me like someone is upset because they have never had a reason to be praised or commended for their actions in a particular situation!!!! Lol lmao. Aaawww dont worry...you're special too!!!
There’s a lot of guilty people out there I’m not sure about that one buddy. A country this rich that lets the juice outlaw sleeping for free and criminalize homelessness. There’s not too many innocents out there.
I always hated that. I always hear stories of drunk drivers surviving with barely a scratch, but the car they hit kills a family, or a bunch of college kids. I get they gotta live with the guilt, but some won’t feel it, and innocents lost their lives.
To the Gentleman who dash cam the incident and was able to stay with the vehicle without causing other unsafe acts - Thank You! More than likely you save casualties.
I’m glad that there are people that report dangerous drivers like this. I wonder how many people have ignored stuff like this and it resulted in a deadly accident later….?
A year later. This guy is a hero. And he sounded so professional. He went out of his way to stop that speeding car. Their are good people left in this world. To him, I say thank you.
The snitch followed the driver in the blue car and the driver in the blue car ultimately ran someone off the road because the snitch decided to be a goody two shoes and pursue him.
"The erratic motorist, later identified as Joseph Scott, 29 ... was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of heroin and a syringe, police said"
Major kudos to the driver. He kept calm, didnt involve himself more than necessary and was very professional with the operator. He may very well have saved lives that day.
So satisfying when he says “You got ‘em! you got ‘em!” These types of situations the caller is usually exhausting themselves wondering where the police are as they’re describing each and every movement of the intoxicated driver, these everyday civilians should TRULY be awarded and applauded for putting their day aside to record and pursue these troublemakers for the sake of all the other drivers who could potentially and harmfully becoming involved, these videos make me so happy!! The man filming this is a saint!
Great all around job by the caller from the social awareness to calling out his locations, giving precise details & descriptions as well as not over-reacting…The way it should be done!!
I’m from NJ and I’ve driven 195 hundreds of times and there’s always tons of state troopers on that road. I’m stunned that it took so long for them to get this guy.
It seems like a long time watching the video, but the span of time from when the 911 call was answered until the trooper pulled him over was only five and a half minutes. Not too bad.
You Tuber - I don't think I thought of that until I just read your comment - since he had taken out a sign as well as gone way off into the center median etc., the cop was probably waiting for another egregious lawbreaking moment to fully and rightfully pull him over (and make it stick, etc.).
You Tuber, So you're saying the cop was behind the dashcam driver the whole time, watching all these dangerous moments innocent people could've been seriously injured or killed just so he can have more evidence to convict the intoxicated driver? A field sobriety test + the dashcammer's testimony would be plenty evidence. Also, at 5:18, the dashcammer even says the cop is coming up about a mile behind him.
Without his dash cam NO ONE would have believed his discriptions of the driver crashing and going off the road numerous times. I want this guy as my neighbor, he looks out for ppl. Excellent work sir!
@@Chahlie No, he was either drunk or on another type of drug. People with low blood sugar attacks or other medical incidents would have stopped and pulled over the first time they drove off the road, not continue down the road and crash into someone. The ONLY reason he stopped is because he hit a car, then saw the police behind him.
Wow this unbelievable 😳!! Thank you to the caller who called 911 to report this driver! He is a hero imp!!! This caller needs to be recognized for his bravery!
Ppl just dont want to bother. And most people who see an emergency assumed someone already called the cops. I was in oregon driving a semi when i saw a house on fire i called 911 and was transferred to the fire station, then fire dispatch told me nobody called about it yet. So yeah just proof toght there
That's damn scary to be on the road with someone like that. I have seen videos similar to this one where the driver was having a heart attack. You just never know, so thank God this caller did the right thing, he probably saved someones life, maybe even the driver.
Toyotas are amazing. They're pretty much impossible to kill and if they do suffer a breakdown, swap a part or 2 and on you go. Even the Prius despite it's unpleasing appearance has some top level reliability.
@shahla1123 Indeed. That's also why in used car dealerships older Toyotas from 2010 and older are VERY popular sellers. I should know as my uncle is one and he sold a 2003 Toyota SUV in just a couple days.
I called in on an impaired driver once. They told me to keep following him until the police could get there. The police swooped around me real quick and pulled him over. They asked me to pull over as well and stay a bit back. One of the officers came back to my car and thanked me for getting a known felon, with a warrant out for his arrest, off the road. My young son was in the back seat, super excited about what was going on the entire time. I used that story a few months later to get myself out of a ticket!
@@esdee878 Thank you. You and the commenter above are very kind. I didn't do much. My dad was a real hero. He once chased down a guy who grabbed a purse from a lady. He caught him in an alley and got it back for her.
@StateofMind I scratched my head too when I read @Niki 2018's comment. Perhaps she's a kid who got hold of a computer and watched some youtube videos. Wait, shouldn't it be spelled 'Nikki'?
I love this guy's professionalism. Very calm, giving detailed info and not getting more involved than necessary. I'm glad that the car the driver did hit managed to recover and not lose control. This is a good example as to why alcohol/drugs and driving don't mix.
Just Me *Death has been, is now and always will be eternity conscious inside of the Corona of the Sun. How could anyone save someone's life when they have no idea what death is, which is the Sun and how to avoid it???*
I mean it's not like there's anything super threatening going on to him. He's a healthy distance away from this car. He's just observing a situation. Not like someone is trying to kill him or something.
The camera he used wasn't so good so we can't see the details but his eyes weren't behind the camera so he saw everything clearly. The human eye captures higher definition images than most cameras. Try reading the signs as he passes them. If you've been in a car you'll note that you can make out the words earlier than you can watching through this guys camera.
@Dingus E. Dow because it's someone on the internet... you should know by now that a random person commenting knows absolutely everything about everything pertaining to the video lol
The guy being such a good citizen for calling in the drunk driver, I hope that more citizens would do that even if the other driver is driving recklessly and that includes cops that are breaking traffic violations. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.
I don’t usually post comments but I just wanna say thank you to the guy who called the authorities and caught this on video. You did a great job! * 1st ever RU-vid comment* :-)
Kristelle Chavez I can tell you don't usually comment. Because you know how to spell and use proper grammer, things most commenters don't seem to know how to do.
Around 195 and 295 yeah there are a few.... WAZE, people. WAZE. They like to sit around Trenton and they have a few spots. Common sense driving should keep you out of their hands, slow down where they sit.....
@@27273100 You can usually literally see them from about a mile away. I know some used to swear by radar detectors... Waze all but makes them useless, just follow/look at the road and you have plenty of "speed zone" and I myself know how to slow down 1. Under bridges and overpasses, Maryland you see them just sit in a shadow on a shoulder.. a lot.. it is actually quite effective and 2. Cresting a hill. It's almost basic. It's like 78 going west, how many cars from PA (PA plates) do 90 or better.... THEY KNOW WHERE TO AND WHERE TO SLOW DOWN, call the State Police like I did once when I had a PA plate tailgate me in the rain at like 80 and then cut me off (I slowed down a little but the point is that it happened, highway driving and all) and they are just like "OK, we'll get him." Burgundy late-model Maxima, PA tag. I'm like "yeah, okay" ... and reminded myself how you can't drive and use the phone normally, but you can "Call 8-1-1 to report aggressive driving." Hmmmm.... It's a trap, lol. NJ style, they will come get YOU since they can prove you were on the phone...........
@@gamingjay141 You must be joking, all the more reason to leave it to the professionals. What if he caused an accident with his actions? Again, he did nothing to stop the other driver.
@@littlestonliest1186 You must be joking, he did leave it to the professionals. He put on his hazards and anyone could see this guy was completely out of control
Codi Price Almost; a cop would likely have used lane numbers (eg., far left is #1). Driver (suspect) description starts with sex, race...but there are gaps in the video.

Some years ago I was driving north of Denver on a back road when a pickup passed me like a bat out of hell. He was all over the road. My wife called it in (flip phones back then) and the dispatcher told us to stay with him if we felt comfortable doing so. After about 5 minutes a highway patrol cruiser came zooming up behind me. I pulled over and watched them turn into a dirt road a ways up which turned out to be a long driveway . They tried to back up and ram the cruiser. As we drove past the officer waved us on. Next day we got a call from the department thanking us. They said the guy and his passenger were high on PCP and very dangerous. Nope, I didn't feel like a snitch. It was great taking my C280 to that speed legally.
Someone's sister, brother, mother, father, aunt, cousin, uncle, grandfather, grandmother, wife, husband, best fried, neighbor life was saved by this guy! Thank him for telling 💯🤘🏾
A very helpful video to keep us aware of danger while driving and always keep our attention focused on the other drivers and pay extreme attention to any erratic move...! Thanks for the video - it is a very protective knowledge for every driver.
Good for you. I have burned many over the years. For the last one I had to visit the police station and attend the court as a witness a few months later. The perp didn't bother to show up in the court, so there was a delay when a police unit was sent to drag him to the court. I was paid nothing. There is some money available for attending the court, but I declined.
Cammer is a hero. He not only did the right thing, he did it right too. He probably doesn't even realize how many lives he saved, including the impaired driver's.
I dunno. I would have stayed back further. I think if the drunk (or high) driver realized he was being followed, that might have added to the erratic driving. Of course there is no way to know fore sure.

Personally, I could not care any less about the impaired driver's life. According to Darwin, if they want to play in the shallow end of the gene pool, fkn let them. It's not like there's any shortage of people or something, we can afford to lose the stupider ones. Helps improve the species, ya know.

I have a notion to second that emotion ! The driver with the camera did the right thing by notifying the authorities about the out of control driver ! He's a hero !
Under pressure ? I think HE was PUTTING some PRESSURE on the blue car! he actually stopped on the left lane facing the spun-out blue car! and always on his ass... doing 80 he admitted, and his HAZZARDS ON DURING THE WHOLE PURSUIT!!!!! he says to the dispatcher; now,THAT IS PRESSURE!!!!! watching too many you tube POL-ICE videos,ahn?...
Any person who bitches someone out for "snitching" probably has a million things that people could snitch on him/her for. Only criminals and bullies use the word "snitch". Person is either a drunk or someone who enjoys beating up women and children. Same goes for people who hate cops. They blame everyone else for all that they do wrong
The people who say that are most likely the first people to snitch when it suits them for their own selfish reasons, rather than this guy who was just trying to save lives, of the driver and other people on the road. All the morons who just be drop kicked into the sea. Get rid of them.
I was behind a jeep driving the same way, a few years back - I didn't see him take-out a sign, but he spent more time on the shoulder than in the lane. I called the HP and reported it right away and called another 6 or 7 times to give them updates. 40 minutes later, I realized no one else cared so I took an exit and went home.
Law enforcement on our roadways have a nearly impossible and extremely dangerous job. While there’s no way to keep all dangerous drivers off our roads, a good “cammer” like this chap is invaluable.
Vincent Cuttolo The problem with that is "the mothers tears", the loved ones suffer and his/her children if any will lose a parent, i wouldn't wish that on anyone.
Awesome job following the driver. Stayed calm and at a safe distance to follow the guy. Great job on the part of you for taping the whole drive. Helps the courts prosecute the turd if he was driving impaired because it's very hard to get out of video evidence. I'm surprised at all the dislikes must be all the drunk drivers mad the bad guy got caught.
John Barrett, the guy who helped capture the erroneous driver, is a modern day hero. Thank you so much for your hard work! Job well done, sir! Wish there are more concerned citizens like you.
I would like to congratulate John Barrett, for his calm and precise description, and remaining at a safe distance while on the phone with the NJ State Trooper's dispatcher. Good job, you probably saved many lives, and prevented a tragedy.
