The police have to follow the law including bail related laws. If the driver is eligible for bail he has to be given station bail. Or else produced before a magistrate who can also send the driver out on bail.
most of the autos are owned by police people and they rented out on daily basis. thats why most of the auto guys drives like Lamborghini and they dont have any fear
Our laws are so laughable. We had a recent incident where our car was hit by a bus in slow moving traffic. The bus driver ran away. Car got sandwiched between the bus behind and a large container truck in the front. The car got totalled. On investigation, the driver admitted the bus didn't have brakes but the owner asked him to just manage with gears😮 But the police and rto made a deal with the bus owner, allowed him have the brakes fixed on their watch 😮 A bogus name (with no address or DL number) was mentioned as the driver with the charge of negligent driving. Apparently the punishment for negligent driving is just a fine of Rs.1500/- including court cost! No compensation was given by the bus owner to us😮 The police just dismissed us saying go claim insurance! RTO still took bribe to isdue their certificate, despite we not being at fault. What is worse is that the truck driver who was not at all fault, was harassed for 3 days and made to pay bribe to both police and rto to let go. This is the reality of our legal/justice system. Most of the population survives purely on luck. Unless you go to western countries and see how administration works there, you will not even fathom how rotten our system is. Human life has absolutely no value here and our governments are shameless and heartless.
I completely Agree with your experience , For that matter i feel so helpless when there is no strong action which is transparent at all , Even police just dismiss or ask to compromise instead for a resolution , Either the police is not well educated or our weak system is . I enjoyed my 5 years work stay in Singapore in 2003 - 2008 where i fell i was so secure , If i just stand near a foot path vehicles would slow down and stop and politely asking me to move on to cross the roads , And I must agree that for any weak system Corruption is the Root cause , I have never seen such things there , I have seen shop keepers denying to sell cigarettes' to minors , He was so strict even in a remote place where no one could question him , Such should be a Citizens Responsibility , And if citizens become so responsible they will not tolerate such wrong things anywhere and definitely will bring a revolution , I pray to god that i want Indians to be like that.
According to me there is no use of auto. They will do rash drive and make accidents. If we ask auto for few km they will ask more money. If we book through the apps many of them will not pickup the order. If pickup means they. Will come near pickup place and cancel the trip so they will get insensitive. Soo I request government of Karnataka to Ban the auto
Autos are a major safety hazard as well. So much weight on just 3 small tires? USA had taxis since 50s and our shitty country is still stuck on using rickshaws like the third worlders we are😢
No.🤨 That's a gross overstatment! Me and my Mother have been using auto rickshaws for the 26 years of my life and not once did we have a reckless driver. There are *SOME* horrible human beings. Blaming a whole profession is not earning you any good will or medals.
Also need to focus on: -Vehicles parking on the road. - Reason for Pedestrians walking in the road(no foot path/due to parked vehicles no loght on footpath)
our mentality also need to change. such mistakes of bike or autwala or normal cars are forgivable and most of the time they are ignored as at the end driver is poor. what if was the same thing did by any luxury car?? infact everyday so many people are loosing life due to accidents on the street but it never highlighted as accused are normal or poor guy. every life is important
I am surprised at how so many people are finding fault with the two wheeler. × auto driver was overspeeding on a barrow road × hit the divider. Not paying attention. × didn't apply brakes when he was about to hit traffic ahead of him. × didn't stop to check if somebody was injured. Yet, people with zero brain are finding fault with 2 wheeler. I don't know what to say.
Its not the dash cam , but the person who has helped in justice to the victims , I am not sure if every dash cam owner is so responsible , But thanks for the persons actions.
Similar accident happened to me 2 years ago. Only difference, I was on bike and a car hit me and ran away. The speed was around 50, so It costed wounds and muscle pain, bike also got damages.
Reckless Driving by Auto, Good Job by Traffic Police. 2W not wearing helmet. Since 2010 I have seen many vehicles face this issue near the Dharmaram College and NIMHANS side flyover (Diary Circle Flyover) due to the extra pavement made between flyover and left lane which is of no use. Plus there is no Red or Yellow highlight or marking for this pavement. Many mistakes are involved here.

The rear view mirrors are real life savers and grossly underutilized. If he was attentive enough he could have foreseen it, but looks like the vehicle that was hit did not have any rear view mirrors. Hence this. These days its become fashionable to get rid of BOTH rear view mirrors. They say it reduces weight. Its the the reduced brain weight of a two wheeler user who gets rid of both the mirrors for the purpose of weight reduction. Also as a slow moving vehicle, he should have been in extreme left
watch again how the auto hits the pedestrians first....as per your logic, pedestrians should carry a rear view mirror now? what are you, 12 or something?
These days it has become a fashion to post a comment without properly watching the video. The auto was coming too fast. There were heavy vehicles parked on the extreme left. And two people are walking infront of the two wheeler. The auto actually loses balance after hitting the divider and goes to the extreme left and hits the lorry almost. Use common sense.
@@rishavganguly1687 last month, I was I in similar situation. I tried to keep to extreme left, but a bunch of heavy vehicles, were parked haphazardly on the main road. I heard the auto first quickly looking in the mirror to realize to my horror he was too fast. I quickly moved aside and stopped all because of the RV mirror. If that wasn't there I would have met the same fate. Now go back to the same hole you crawled out of.
South indian auto drivers are very much influenced by south indian movies and most of them think themselves as rowdy/villian on streets , all are goons by their mentality .

There were trucks standing on the left lane and maybe the driver wanted to take a right turn afterwards or had to go straight so he was going in the right lane
