Surprise driver arrested after road rage altercation caught on camera 

I'm a marine with PTSD from two trips to Iraq and there is no excuse for this behavior. That's a psychopath, not a troubled veteran.

As a USAF first sergeant, he was on a 20+ year career path toward retirement with a pension and benefits. That career is OVER and DONE. After the civilian courts punish him, the US military is going to court-martial him and boot him out. A military career destroyed because of 10-seconds of self-inflicted stupidity.

As a veteran, I’m sick of these fellow vets using PTSD as an excuse. He’s a loser and a disgrace to his fellow veterans.

If he has such severe PTSD that a young woman in a car sends him over the edge he has no business being in the military, owning a gun or being behind the wheel. Point blank period 👌

I know PTSD is a real condition, but I think too many people claim to have it so they can blame that for their poor life choices.

If his PTSD is so bad then he should not hold any type of rank. He needs to be removed from the Air Force and sent to prison. This cannot be his first time doing this on the highway.

Guys like these give all lawful gun owners a bad name. Also, post-traumatic stress disorder doesn't make you pull a gun on people, his reasoning is for sure fictitious and shows a lack of accountability by blaming PTSD.

That's Felony Aggravated Assault. Result - never able to legally own a firearm ever again. When we say some people should NEVER own a gun, we mean this guy.

What an aggressive man. I do not believe this was the first time threatening with a firearm . His acts were chauvanistic, reckless and bullying. Imagine how much this unchecked anger can progress over time.

He's going to go and claim PTSD when he's in the Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Manager with ZERO combat deployments. The DA needs to look in his jacket and see that he has ZERO combat deployments and that PTSD "bullsh*t" is just what it is. Makes me sick being a combat veteran that simps will use that when they don't have PTSD.

I'm a veteran and while I understand PTSD is a real thing and I understand how it can be triggered, I know there are probably some people who just use it as an excuse when they get caught doing stupid shlt. None of us can know for sure if he even has PTSD or if that really was a factor, but this guy definitely has some anger issues to work on and I feel bad for the trauma the girl had to endure; that memory will stay with her forever and have some deep psychological impact on her. That being said, I don't like to judge people based entirely on one stupid thing they did. In this case, pull out a gun and threaten someone over something as stupid as cutting you off in traffic. Now, I'm not saying this guy shouldn't be punished; he should spend some time in jail and attend mandatory anger management classes, but since I am a Vet, I have a pretty good idea of what's going to happen to him... He's probably going to get a BCD for this (Bad Conduct Discharge) and that will impact the rest of his life. The military doesn't mess around with stuff like this. A dishonorable discharge is about the worst thing you can do to someone in the military. But all these road rage videos make me want to park my car in the driveway and start walking to more places.

Guaranteed this isn't the first time he has brandished a weapon to intimidate or threaten someone.

If he has anger issues with PTSD just driving down the road, God forbid what happens when he's actually performing his duty in the Air Force

I'm former military and I do not understand why everybody now has PTSD.I've got guys in my former squadron that are collecting disability and it's a bunch of BS.Everything in this country is nothing but a scam

So this Air Force sergeant pulls his gun with his finger on the trigger and points it at a teenager. He needs to be in prison and dishonorably discharged.

And this is why everyone needs front and rear dashcams, or even side cameras too.

If he knew he was suffering from severe PTSD he should have never owned a gun. Stronger gun controls are needed.

That’s highly entitled behavior. This should be taken seriously as it is deeply disturbing & deranged. Also, his “PTSD” excuse is just that. If he’s this easily triggered, he should avoid them, like driving! He wasn’t triggered, he’s simply entitled! I deal with PTSD and hyper-vigilance from being a career soldier and multiple deployments but I don't have anger issues and see everything as a potential confrontation. This person probably had anger issues prior to PTSD and is just another how dare you cut or attempt to cut in front of me driver thinking the road is his and his alone.

I had a gun pulled on me as a passenger once while on a date. I called the police and they surrounded him at gun point in my cities downtown. I can relate to her. You don't realize what you seen right away.

If he has PTSD I guess he just gave this young lady PTSD as well. He was so scared he pointed a guy as a woman who just pulled up along side him. Plenty of people have PTSD. I'm tired of people even mentioning PTSD when accused of a crime. That's like saying some grew up in a rough neighborhood so that excuses their crimes.

When did the USAF start allowing beards, especially for a 1st Sgt? Something about this story seems off. But there’s no way he’s justified pulling that stunt, yeah, he’s mental.

A lesson to learn here is to avoid these situation. Right around this area, a guy tried to pass me and almost got plowed by a truck. (I always drive 5m over the speed limit, so I wasn’t slow). He gets bad at me for his bad decision and flipping me off from behind. I just ignored him. Just get away from them as fast as you can. You could have died over a stupid traffic incident

As a lyft driver in AZ.. I can say for certain that AZ drivers are the worst, and I've had probably 10 guns pulled on me... the people here really think individually that's its their road and how dare you try to be in front of them... they cut you off, and if you notice or honk, they'll try to kill you. This is the worst place to drive... I'm actually surprised this guy got in trouble as so many never do...

Remind of an incident years ago here in CT. A lady who was in the Air Guard was on the morning commute to the HQ armory and cut people off in traffic to get on the off ramp. She was in uniform and flipped of some of the angry people she cut off when they honked at her. She thought nothing of it, went to work, yada yada, or so she thought... One of those people made a complaint to a politician, who then called up the General, who then found the girl and she lost her full time employment. People thinking that their actions have no consequences, good or bad, is part of the issue of entitlement and narcissism in this country today.

We are not in competition. We are sharing the roadways.

PTSD. It's always, "My PTSD made me do it!" F' me. My daughter tells me about this poor male friend that she has was diagnosed with PTSD, so I ask her what happened. She informs me that he went through a really bad break up. I laughed and she got mad and said, "No dad! It was really bad, you have no idea." Anyone trying to get a weed card has PTSD now days.

There was a case that I saw on a crime show a while back where a young lady was actually shot in the head and died after a similar sort of incident. What a pissweak society we seem to be degenerating into.

If you have PTSD, you should not be owning any guns for your safety and others. I am all for gun rights , but if you are claiming that PTSD is the reason you pointing a gun at someone and threat to shoot and kill in a road-rage incident, you should seek medical help and get your temperament under control. If you think your life would be in danger, why would you even pull up next the driver who “cut” you off and confront them with a middle finger and a gun? Sounds like you have anger issues. Mount a front and rear view dash cam in your car, will save you a lot in the long run.

I’ve seen road rage, my incident was a guy who screamed I ran a red light. I didn’t. He went nuts.
