Agree wholeheartedly. I can confirm that many women will act one way just to manipulate their man into telling them how they actually feel because they want to hear "I only want you" and "I can't live without you." It little by little screws up the relationship and she will keep fishing little by little until it gets to a point where she no longer feels validated or like what her man is saying is enough to be satisfied and it all hits the fan.
