PART TWO COMING AT YOU! Yall ready for this series Dating?? We think it will encourage a lot of people whether you have been on 100 dates or 0 dates.
so what is on my heart today... I think what is on my heart today is TRUE VALUE. Like finding TRUE VALUE in the things that matter...I think it is very easy for all of us to get caught up in what we are told to value... looks, cars, how someone proposed, etc... And I'm not saying those things aren't good... I love that I am physically attracted to my wife, I do have a dream car (that I hope to get one day) and I proposed in a thoughtful way on purpose! But those things are just additions to our life, they do not give it meaning and value. There are so many other things we need to value like our health. Like did we call a loved one today... Like did we take time to be kind to someone today (EVEN IF THEY DID CUT US OFF IN THEIR CAR)... In the same way God looks at things and values them differently we should seek to do the same. That means we need to unpack the things we are chasing, and ask why we are chasing them...If it is something that provided true value to our life versus a perceived value (because societies tells us we need it) then we need to bump those down on the priority list.)
STEPPING OFF MY SOAPBOX but for those of you who are here for some little tips on stuff we are working on here is a small riddle... they will become less and less vague as the time approaches.
I heat things up, but cool things down at the same time.

I was in an unequally yoked 7 year long relationship that I eventually got up the courage to end. If I had listened to the warnings from others (and the bible) about finding someone who shares the same beliefs as me, I would have avoided a lot of heart ache. Dating someone with a different belief than you is the most isolating thing. Not only that, but as a Christian, my beliefs dictate how I live my life so someone who does not accept the Christian faith is operating from a different "life manual" and will therefore rarely meet expectations. And no, you will not magically "show them the light." That's why I stayed so long, I was hoping and praying for a conversion and change so that the relationship could have hope (ironically the conversion happened to him post-breakup). I have now found a Christ-centered relationship and it is the most beautiful thing to see a man pursue God and to pursue me in such a pure, loving way. All glory to God for helping me through the struggles and leading me to the man of my dreams.

I just wanted to give my thanks for being such an inspirational couple. I found you guys in December and it is what started my journey to christ. Seeing such a young, fun, and loving couple be so open about the truth of god was a narrative I've never heard in life. I was raised by a single mother never really knowing what marriage or love was. I knew more about what didn't lead to marriage than what did. Since December I've dived in so deep with christ and really see him working on my heart. I got involved with inter varsity (a christian club) this past semester which just so happened to be my last semester in college and met some amazing people. I shared with the women's bible group leaders the name of your podcast and we listened to one in the following meeting. I just wanted you to know how much of an impact you've had on my awakening. I came across you guys on my recommendations coincidentally just last night. And I couldn’t express how blessed I am with clarity you have given me and how much wisdom you impart to all of us. I'm almost 30 and I've never been dating. No pressure, lol. And I think, I want to invite this one girl from my church, which I've met in youth group (not attending anymore, I realized I'm too old xD). I think we like each other - in fact, I truly believe God reminded me about her, when I was ready to give up on being married, after a rejection I took really bad. I keep praying about it and I think I have to wait a bit longer. Totally agreed on that with Him. But also, I'm excited (and extremely nervous) to try it, whenever I will be ready. God is definetely working on me, and probably in her life too. Who knows, all I want is His will - I'm done with rejections, because I went too fast and/or on my own terms.

I have a question: did you guys both go to college/university? I agree dating nonchristian isnt wise but I personally found sometimes very hard to say no to nonchristian guys. Especially when you are single 33 year old and under pressure to get married and have kids. Sometimes this nonchristian guys are more proactive then christian guys (at least in my country). And when you meet nice nonchristian guy who is interested in you and you know you would have life like queen in the castle with him. So hard to say no. Its really big temptation.

I’m curious about the part where you said that if someone doesn’t respect your boundaries than you should drop them or keep them at arms length. However, in multiple previous videos you both spoke about how you both weren’t perfect in setting physical boundaries and stepped over them at times...yet you both stayed together? I just want to know what would you recommend if two people both overstep their boundaries before getting married but didn’t mean to, and still work to stay pure...should they still get married? Please HELP! I have had a crush for 5 years now and met working together and getting degrees in college.
