Great info. Thank you. l saw a young Mexican girl when l was a junior in hi school. She drew my attention. At the time there were very few Mexican girls attending. I told my buddies about how much l was attracted to the Mexican girl, none of them had ever dated one. So.......they put up $50 dollars and dared me to ask her for a date to our weekly school dance if she said yes for 2 week in a row l would get the money. They seemed to be making fun of me. She was a very quiet and well mannered girl besides being very beautiful. Next day in the hall l deliberately dropped one of my books in front of her , she picked it up, and with the most beautiful smile l had ever seen. I was hooked. I walked her to her room asked if she liked to go to school dance with me. She said yes but l would have to ask permission from her parents NOW...that was strange to me . Her parents were very nice people and said " if she gets back by 11pm .....yes." We had a great time. Got to know ea. other more, she had such an innocence about her, l was in love on my first date. I thought "the dance ends at 10, the drive back takes 1/2 hr. There's not enough time to hold her tight." That nite All l got was a very small good nites kiss. Following week l found out she was a tranfer student from Spain to Mexico to USA. Her parents had migrated from Spain to Mexico when she was 5 so she would get a good education. At age 12 she liked English and her parents moved to USA. We dated 2 years, married and 54 years later we are still married and still very much in love, with 10 great grandkids, she is still very beautiful and PASSIONATE...about love ,life, and our kids. WOW! She is very intelligent ,fun to be with, laughs alot. Funny though l never got the $50! But l got so much more. Thank God. And my buddies?... More than half of them are divorced.
That’s such a nice story. My grandparents and great-grandparents were both married for over 60 years. My mom’s parents didn’t make it quite as long (53 maybe?), but my grandfather was older and they both got cancer 😢.

We did have some rocky roads in the beginning due to the cultural differences you mentioned throughout your video. However, here we are 16 years later. I find Mexican women to be very affectionate, high emotions, and love to be feminine. About taking forever to getting ready for an event, you better believe you need to let them know way ahead of the time if you want them ready LOL! The territorial thing… the other day we had a waitress with green hair and I told my Mexican gf she should dye her hair. She went on a little rant on how it would look ridiculous, how I never noticed her highlights (which I did), and funniest part is it ended with, “I don’t like her”. She was more annoyed at the thought of me noticing the other lady; while all I saw was the hair. She went straight to her phone to watch TikTok videos. I kept asking if she was ok, she kept saying yes. I’ve noticed the “I don’t like her” thing a couple of times; but I sort of like it, especially the way she says it. Don't worry, my fiance is a European mix(Italian,British,Irish)and my family didn't warn up to him at first (because he wasn't Latino/Mexican)but now 4 years later they finally accepted him and love/adore him. We are engaged now too. Don't stop trying, especially if she is the one.

I lived in Mexico for almost two years and I dated a few Mexican ladies during that time. But never heard about walking with her closer to the buildings. As a fluent Spanish-speaker, no one ever told me that either. Almost every woman I dated had no problem helping me understand their culture, but there wasn't anything about walking around.
This list applies not only to Mexican women, but to many Latinas in general. One of my biggest epiphanies from being involved with Latinas is this: They conflate heightened emotion, even negative emotion, with love. I've actually been told: You don't love me! You don't even yell at me when we argue! I explained to her that I consider yelling, physical posturing, hurling insults and objects as base and abusive. I'm not saying I haven't done it, but whenever it's happened, I've been more upset about my behavior than the original disagreement itself. As a man, I'm particularly critical of this behavior because I view it as a form of abuse and a precursor to violence, regardless of its resulting in actual assault. Latinas will pick a fight simply for the attention because to them, the degree to which you become viscerally upset is an indication of how much you love them. This might sound crazy and cynical. If you don't believe me, find out for yourself. Fortunately, this does not apply to all Latinas, but it applies to enough of them to be a prevalent aspect of the culture. If you find this relationship dynamic untenable, my advice is to move on in search of a woman who values respect, civility and emotional maturity. They do exist.

It’s interesting about which side you walk on the street, grew up in Eastern Europe and after communism fell in the 90’s, there was high unemployment, young guys in the cities used to hang out in the building entrances or driveways and if they thought you had money, they would try to pull you in and rob you sometimes so it became common for men to walk on the side of the buildings and women on the side of the roads, so in case of an ambush, men would get pulled in and robbed and women could run away, it’s much safer now, so not sure if that practice is still common. Had a coworker that dated a Mexican girl, they broke up after the while but we always joked and teased him he was forever in love with the mom and her cooking because she always made him food and he loved everything she cooked,

Remember that Mexicans are citizens of the country of Mexico. There are many thousands of Mexicans who are pure European with lineages from Northern Spain, Germany, Ireland, Italy, France, Sweden etc.

Went on my first date with a Mexicana yesterday. It was a wonderful, relaxing time. She text me twice asking to change the time for the date. I know why now lol. But when I saw her, it was well worth the wait. Muey hermosa. She said she really likes my Spanish. I was married to an Anglo woman and our marriage did not last. My parents are from Puerto Rico. I decided to date Hispanic women who best reflected my culture and religion. I dated several Mexican American women. None seemed to be attracted to me enough to make a commitment. I met a beautiful Hispanic woman. Her parents were Spaniards. We ultimately married. It seems there are subtle cultural differences within the Hispanic community which made me unattractive to Mexicans. Yet with my Spanish wife and her family there were few obstacles. I was blessed to have had her as my wife for 50 years, until she passed recently.
