When my fiance was still my boyfriend, he sent this song to me. He told me that this explained how he felt about me, about us. It was the first time I'd ever heard it. I bawled my eyes out. These lyrics are so raw and absolutely powerful. On July 11th, I plan on dancing to this song once my fiance becomes my husband. Whether or not this virus cancels our wedding, it'll still be our date. We will still have our first dance, and I'll still bawl my eyes out. I can't wait.

He doesn't look like he'd have that kind of beautiful, let free, somewhat immature but in a free kind of way singing voice. He looks like he'd sound deep, intimidating, or stern and write these really heavy songs, but he sings such free and uplifting songs in such an angelic voice. It's amazing.

While listening to his songs I finally got the courage to call somebody that I never got the chance to chat with in 28 yrs. it was the best hour in my life or at least top 5 in my life. I played this song with my broken guitar for my girlfriend five years ago. I still remember how she would laugh when i sing the part "...and am gonna say what i need to say and hope to God that it don't scare you away....." We've been married for 4 years now with 2 boys and this is still our favourite song together. If she is angry, all i need to do is take my guitar and sing it for her and we'll be fine.

Daughtry, I have to let you know how much I love this song. I was diagnosed with Bipolar in my middle 40's. I met the man of my dreams in 2012 and played this song for him, he still loved me for who I am and who I am yet to be.
