His voice is rare and rich, like a nice red wine .Chris you're soul is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your gift with us. World is a better place with you in it!
I wish more people listened to them. They have such good, emotion-packed music. This song is an excellent example of it. Especially the lines, "Tell me how to make every wrong turn that I've learned so this can all end tonight" & "It's my heart I'll follow this time" & "Who would've known that pride is so hard to swallow?" I love every bit of it.
its a beautiful fusion song. saw it first one the CMAs or one of the country awards. Was surprised to see him sitting on a stool next to Vince Gill. Very nice. Vince takes a back seat on the vocals but his fine tenor voice comes through nicely. Love fusion/crossroads kind of things. Music should go beyond any genre stereotype. If you like it, who cares what the kind of music is it?
Absolutely! I played it for my daughter, who’s never heard it before, during a recent road trip through a countryside and she became so emotional - this song is everything …
I open my lungs to breathe in forgiveness and love Haunting me now reminders of how I used to be And on down the road my troubles are sure to follow Looking out the window, the hell if I know where I will go So I'll just keep on driving On my way to L.A. looking into the rear view as the roads fade away I've sworn off my past first to last bad call that I ever made Tell me how to make right every wrong turn that I've learned So this can all end tonight Tennessee line just changed my mind Well, it's my heart I'll follow this time Who would've known that pride is so hard to swallow? As I rest on the shoulder of a road growing colder With the trouble I own should I just keep on driving? On my way to L.A. looking into the rear view as the roads fade away I've sworn off my past first to last bad call that I ever made Tell me how to make right every wrong turn that I've learned So this can all end tonight Tennessee line just changed my mind Well, it's my heart I'll follow this time I know I must be doing something right Head the other way, back to where I started out Ask myself if I can turn it all around tonight And stop living with doubt On my way to L.A. looking into the rear view as the roads fade away I've sworn off my past first to last bad call that I ever made Tell me how to make right every wrong turn that I've learned So this can all end tonight Tennessee line just changed my mind Well, it's my heart I'll follow this time I've sworn off my past first to last bad call that I ever made It's my heart I'll follow this time I've sworn off my past first to last bad call that I ever made I'm gonna turn it all around tonight, turn it all around tonight Turn it all around tonight I'm gonna turn it all around tonight at the Tennessee line
Love this song, fell in love with this entire album when it came out. So much so I have bought 4 copies, ended up giving out the other 3 to others who loved it as well.
yeytade... It’s been slow getting there... but has finally made it to that position for me too... Knocking off the previous title holder for 8 or 9 years...
This is a Fantastic Album, I own it and listen to it daily! I Love ❤️ it! I spread the ❤️of Daughtry by taking their CDs with me to other peoples houses 🏡!
This Song Will Chance Your Life As Soon As Your Traveling Down The Road And Watching The Road Behind You Fade Away And Be On Your Way Too Your New Location That You Have Set To Live The Rest Of Your Life And One Day And Someday Possibly Soon To Be It Could Be Happening Any Day And I Hope It Does
beautiful song. I love how the fiddle comes in near the end and then finishes the song. It makes it seem timeless, like time. The backing vocals by Vince Gill make it so nice and I wish he was actually featured more strongly. Love this song always.
I knew he would make it... very talented and his lyrics have meaning. He certainly doesn't get the recognition he deserves. He gets it from those who knows what a singer should be. Absolutely a great one!!
I don't know where Tennessee is in America. But this song fits my rural highway in my country. It helps me meditate in my old pick up while driving. Bless you Daughtry.
God, this song reminds me of me running away from my problems almost 4 years ago. From NJ ran away to AL on the border of Tennessee. Of course my problems followed me. But I remember being so homesick and came back. This touches me in so many ways.
Introspection is the mode Chris puts me in. His voice has a haunting quality, and as in this song, he draws you in like no one else. The rest of the music will catch up and recognize his talent; it's inevitable.
I still listen to this song whenever i drive. few years ago i was in some sort of trouble, and i chose to ran away from it. until i listen to this while driving. it really put many things in my life to perspective back then. thanks Daughtry.
Vince Gill's voice just blends with anyone's and the combination of Daughtry and him on this song is still one of the best crossovers ever. Great song.
Took a while edging out the competition... but I can now safely say this is my “Favourite Song Of All Time”... Turns me into one huge goose-bump... no matter how many times I listen to it. Some things just make life infinitely more bearable...
