@@sandorhartig3957 when he did use the word, there were complaints and the BBC didn't stand up for him, so he left for ITV and did this his best series!
I loved watching and listening to this guy in the 60's ,as a kid.I could never get enough of his wry observational humour. Thank you so much for uploading these gems. He's just as funny in 2016. Gone too soon.
No matter how many times I watch this it just has this nice vibe. I wish we could have people like him today to tell us jokes. We have funny comedians, but most are bellow his level.
During the early to mid seventies when I was studying in U.K. in spite of heavy study schedule I would always spare time to watch Dave Allen show on telly
The funny thing is although Dave used quite a lot of explicit languages, he doesn't sound vulgar at all, in contrast to a lot of modern comedians. He also made fun of religion in good humor and not in a fitting rage like many contemporary comedians.
The guy was a fuckin' master. It's all about just telling the truth and then waiting for the people to comprehend. How many years will it take to come clean about the rest of the things we have all been groomed into doing/thinking?
Absolutely Brilliant comic I can remember watching Dave Allen. Many years ago what a difference today days comics. In those Days their was no pc . Not like today
I do remember watching this episode, and, when, in the section about sperm banks, the moment Dave said "They certainly don't shake your hand", I had a large mouthful of hot coffee and a massive laugh building up behind it. It was a quick decision between choking on the coffee or spitting it out, and I'm sorry to say the coffee won. I got a coffee-soaked shirt and vest out of the situation! Good thing I was too busy laughing myself silly!
Imagine Dave Allen and Sir Billy Connolly going head to head on stage -the RCs would be right in the sights! very much the same wonderful observational POV on lifes wee foibles.
Laughing out loud ! I lived through this, what a load of rubbish we were taught ! Glad to be free and still the same person.........and I haven't gone to hell :)
He had a great joke about a stallion and a nun called the horses handbrake........and a skit of the John Wayne movie Chism, called John Jizm.....great man.
Lol, he's talking about wanking, some may consider that 'dirty' , ( not me if that's what you're thinking) He is a funny bugger though and it's so nice to hear a comedian that can stay well away politics and just joke about everyday life.
I love how he always ended his routine by saying “May your god be with you”. Although he was an atheist, he still respected tghose in the audience who were still believing in a god.
ed His TV shows ran from the 1960s to the 80s on main BBC or ITV channels. Not censored, but probably after 9.00, I don’t remember the time but loved the programmes.
neil farmer boagi Rubbish. Nearly everyone over the age of 60 would be delighted to have Dave Allen showing on our TVs.......and there are a lot of us 😊!
