I saw Dave perform this the other night at Citi Field. I started crying my eyes out and then someone hugged me. I lost a friend 2 months ago, so I really felt this.
I've been in Open'er Festival last wednesday and Foo Fighters is my favorite band. "Under You" became my favorite song since they released the album and this song make me feel about my dog who is still alive but is 11 years old and I know he will probably leave me soon, it was one of the most emotional moments I had in my life when Dave started playing this song.
Bless him, he’s written songs that all give us goosebumps but no man is an island and the chills we feel from his music come from his personal scars. The loss of Taylor Hawkins must’ve brought back memories of Kurt Cobain, how can you mourn one loss when it’s so reminiscent of another, and then his mum passed away. 😔
