This episode is one of my faves cos this is sort of out of Cody’s comfort zone in a way, he’s used to more desert surrounds etc but he still did an amazing job at demonstrating what one could do to survive.

As someone from south east Louisiana...it really is "run with the big dogs or stay on the porch"

Man I miss this show, Dave and Cody were perfect together.

This is why Dave and Cody worked together. Two great personalities, and while they did clash a little but, they were able to handle those clashes just fine. Cody and Joe… naw you had two guys who’d just continue going at each other and would never back down, and that was very dysfunctional.

🏴‍☠ I get e-mail from Dave Canterbury, and his Mom. Dave did something very cool for my grandsons High School Graduation several years ago...Long story. I've binged watched season 1 & 2 several times. One things obvious, take Cody out of the desert... he depends on Dave's knowledge when surviving in every other terrain. From snowy mountains to swamps to the Eastern Woodlands... Dave's the Man.

How do you dry out anything in a pocket when your sweating??

Cody is like an old lady sometimes.

I like how they have respect for the snakes small enough to throw back and they have respect for everything that's really cool

I love how Dave is magically cleaned up immediately after they get out of the bog, not a speck of mud above his knees, teach us those survival skills!

In my mind, there have been only 2 great survival series, this one is one of them. While this one is "call of duty" the other is "Arma 3" !(survivorman obviously)

i always find it funny in these shows how the camera man is already on the supposedly random boat that comes to the rescue, along with the whole production team because if they left them out there any longer they’d have too much footage for one show

This was great the balance between Dave and Cody‘s survival styles, and the occasional disagreement between them made the show interesting but also the best duo. I think they should bring them back. Yes, dave did lie and got a lot of flack for it, but it’s entertainment at the end of the day .
