I still enjoy watching this video in the year 2023! The collaboration between Phil and Dave is remarkable! Phil's vocal abilities and Dave's skills with that saxophone. Talent at it's best!!
This literally made my day, huge fan of Phil Perry and I have been trying to discover more of his work from the past. This video is like discovering fine aged scotch
Dave Koz on Sax, Phil Perry on Vocal. Band was Don Boyette - Bass, Mark Shulman - Drums, Carl Burnett - Guitar, Don Wyatt - Keyboards, Kevin Richard - Percussion, Joyce Imbesi - Keyboards, Leslie Smith, Anita Sherman & Delta Dickerson - Backup Vocalist
My dad had this on Lazerdisc and would blast it on the stereo when I was five. Never did he realize how much this would send my life into a musical journey and I think my Dad and wonderful music like this for letting me know what great music is.
Phil Perry is amazing. I had the pleasure of seeing him in concert with Will Downing a bunch of times over the years. I have never been disappointed . Money well spent.
This concert brings back memories. This was made the same year that I saw Dave for the first time in his solo career perform live. It was quite a treat for me since my 14th birthday was 3 days after the show. It was a memory that i'll never forget.
Music and voice wow so uplifting in the world today brings back this righteous sound to a World gone astray. Forget hip-hop and rap anyone can do those to play music an sing goes deep into your Soul an its a Gift from the Origin of humans how can this be replaced?
This vid brings back so many memories of my frequent nights of seein great acts at this great Venue the STRAND IN Redondo Beach CA, on Pacific Coast Highway
MrRedrocket42 Glad to hear that someone other than myself recognized his contribution to this fine performance ...D.B. and his MS were definitely killing it ...and on top of that, was having a lot of fun in the process.
Ms. Imbessa on Keyboard had a terrible disease and has left us. Very sad. She was a spokesperson for this disease and lead the fight. She is gone. Read up.
