Damn, brought me to tears listening to him talk about how people, and in particular kids, are going hungry and struggling. As a father of 3 young kids, everything I do is for them and even that doesn’t feel like enough most days. Didn’t come from a lot either and grew up in an abusive household, but my parents were always workers and they stuck together even after separating a bunch of times, my family ain’t perfect but that’s what motivated me to really work hard. Went through two years of hard P addiction and then met my wife who inspired me to change my ways. Two trade qualifications under my belt and About to apply for our first home loan this week and hopefully we will be in a position to help other people one day. I love to hear about people like Dave and Higgins who make it despite the odds being stacked against them. You guys are doing a fantastic job with the podcast keep it up!!
I love this man and he is an absolute inspiration. His book was fantastic and to hear from him "in the flesh" was fantastic. He's an absolute credit to himself, his whanau/aiga and all of those people that have reached their hands out to help him up. His kids must be immensely proud. Kia kaha Dave, you're a deadset legend.
Thank you Dave for all that you do for our people and the wider community. Thank you to your whanau/aiga for sharing you and your team at BBM, you have some amazing strong pillars beside you and watching over you. Love this!🙌🏾 Manuia le aso, nga mihi mahana
