Been coming back to this video for months. Such a killer improv. Just received my gemini yesterday. You were definitely one of the reasons I kept my pre-order.
Also listening a second time. I've actually got one of these on the way now, so I've been watching everything again. This is one of (if not) my favorite Gemini tunes.
no it isnt. these arent the 70s. and this isnt a prophet 5. there is tons of analog polyphonic synth available right now. and at its price point of around 4000€ the Gemini is extremely hard to sell. George is a nice guy it seems, so I just hope he didnt bet his family home on the Gemini. For 4 grand you can get a Prophet 10, almost a Deckard's Dream II. The Gemini has certainly not established itself as a future classic synth. The Super 6 was somewhat reasonable as it was a round 2500 € around the time it came out. The Gemini is basically a Super 6 with some add ons.
@@maxmeier532 Gemini is TWO Super 6 with addons, which explains its price, considering it's an analog synth which requires real chips. And frankly it's much better than any Prophet or whatever.
Incredible. Probably my 4th time returning to this video for a relisten. Sure the synth sounds fantastic, but the real gem is that composition, it could have made a rhythm wolf sound good.
One follow-up question! I’m curious if you remember what your signal chain was when recording with the Gemini? I’m running directly into an Apollo Twin X and getting a relatively low signal output. Any special sauce you’d recommend on the way in to the interface? Thanks a bunch!
