without any exaggeration at all this man's music changed my life (and how I view life) from the first moment I heard him and continues to. a true gift from God to us simple, lucky mortals. Sometimes there is no word for how surprising life can be.

David Mullins I'm trying to persevere. I'm trying to find something to persevere for. My heart is sad. There's nothing left. Maybe you can share what song helped you. I've only heard his song crash into you. If you would, I would appreciate it with much sincerity. Lol, I wish Dave Mathews would give me a hug. He seems so nice.

Totally agree, Dave's music, what he stands for and the way he makes you feel have changed my life for the better. His songs have been the soundtrack to my life from age 15 until now, and im 37! Pambi - get his albums named Under the Table and Dreaming, Remember Two Things and Crash and pretty much every song will make you feel a different emotion, mostly happiness, joy, freedom, etc. Enjoy! Discovering his songs for the first time (sort of like how I felt when I discovered the Grateful Dead music) is an amazing feeling and one that not many musicians or artists can achieve.

PositiveLastAction PositiveLastAction I always love the comments about him being backed. Sometimes referring to pot, but often times referring to harder stuff. Whether at a show, an interview, or here as a guest at a store. I think it's just the way he acts ; ) Dave has been off the hard drugs since prob at least around the same time he quit smoking back in 2005. Pretty sure he is pretty sober these days. Although I know you you aren't referring to present day!

He still smokes weed. A girl I know just earlier this summer met him at the show in Mansfield Massachusetts. He kept asking her name over and over. She said he seemed like he smoked a lot of weed before hand.

His face resembles Tom Hanks also and maybe I'm judging based in physical appearance, but he seems to have a similar image also, not as grand as Tom hanks but you never really hear anything bad about him, has a clean image, kind of bland and everyone likes him.

However... the no requests comment, on the second live stream they did this summer, a lady had "Do you remember? #40" on a sign, and sure he didn't play the full song but he did do a tease of it. And on the the Live at Luther College Dave and Tim live show, Dave says that #41 was named "creatively, as it's the 41st song we've wrote." Could be all a lie but I gotcha Dave. Ya'll better be at Alpine next summer lol

I got a huge hug from Dave. It was after a concert in Boise Idaho And people were gathering around the tour bus behind a gate guard. He came out and started greeting everyone and people were freaking out pushing the gate over. I yelled stop it! You're going to scare him! He looked at me and I said can I get a hug? And he gave me the tightest hug and a kiss on the cheek. I was so excited
