I can't thank you enough for he support, have some amazing things coming up this year and will be investing some funds in the channel like you know.....lighting.
i only liked the high tuning on this one. {maybe because its a 13'} . But Dave's snares are usually killers. Was there any reverb on your mix? It sounds a bit dry.
Ah my workhorse snare. What after market snare wires would you recommend? I still have the original carbon for high tension but had to replace the stainless wires and used the 13 inch fat cat stainless
I am looking through the Puresound catalogue to see if I can make something work for the stainless and carbon steel. If something can't be adapted I might need to reach out to Bibin etc.
Puresound concert wires in 13 inch would be worth a try. But I think they only make the 14. From what I read the signature wires are a certain length. For me 14s are too long and 13s are a little short but they work. 16 strands is a bit much but I wouldn’t mind clipping a few wires off the sides
@@IAMDRUMMER I have tried almost every snare wires and, in my opinion, PEARL are the best. I find the SOUNDPURE are thicker, therefore, they are not as sensitive, the sound is more rough. With the PEARL and even GIBRALTARS, the buzz is more refined and clear. Just my experience.
Doesn't Yamaha's higher lines have some evolution of Nouveau lugs like the PHX series? I wish some company went and actually started manufacturing parts for these old discontinued drums.
@@IAMDRUMMER You mean the square golden lug, right? I much preferred the Nouveau lugs for Yamaha, despite the Stage Custom ones being made of that plastic material and much harder to replace. Oh well...
That’s the ones, even now the new single point lugs still worry me on the more recent signature models. I know I harp on about but if I need a DW spare part I can walk in to my local drum shop and get a lug, these I can’t and usually if I can order one it’s months of waiting.
