Bowie had a killer sense of humour. I always thought they were of the same age but then I double checked to find that he was only a few months younger than Gilmour. 😂

David and David what a pair. Bodies humor always makes me smile. He was an all around type if guy as he grew older. If only he stopped smoking. The live concert where he has to stop n Bc of his gear attack is soo sad but he bravely stayed on stage until it was unbearable A true performer an amazing Human being and a friend to all. I love how the English musicians from that era really got along so well -- I worked in the film and tv biz for years and the well known English actors were the best - really down to earth and easy to get along with -- the other day Paul McCartney posted a tribute to the late Jeff Beck, he said they were good friends and the wives got along too and they would have dinner at each others homes and hang out frequently --

Love the way Bowie plays it so straight faced - brilliant.

Thanks for posting this little video..I adored David Bowie,right from when Space Oddity was first released in 1969,and saw him in concert 3 times,and David Gilmour was another of my great musicians,saw him at a free concert in Hyde Park London in the mid 70's..

This is great. Pink Floyd are my favourite rock band and David Gilmore is one of my favourite guitarists. Loved some of Bowies's stuff too, especially in the early 70's. They seem two really nice guys unlike many rock stars with huge egos.

I'm not a huge Bowie fan but he sounded like such a nice guy. From what I've heard, he was a great guy to be friends with.

David had humour that never failed, even when bored with silly questions, he would get on with it.... If you have not heard his story about being with his buddy Gary Oldman...look it up..I keep it in the comedy section of my mind. Sometimes you need a gut laugh when it's a shit day....

That's massive talent in one room.

I've been lucky enough to have seen hundreds of top acts in my life....but the most professional band I ever saw was David Bowie...he used the very best session musicians for his performances....though he used his name for the band, the band was way more than David Bowie the man.....sublime musicianship...and of course fronting the band was the man himself. I find it a little odd I guess....the audience stood and adored David Bowie...but the musicians he used were the platform upon which he stood to enjoy the adoration...

well there's two of my favorites, one of them gone, in a loving embrace. i don't want to be too weird, but i would have liked to have gotten in on that hug. btw, bowie and gilmour are the same age, separated by about 9 months. lol.

He was known as Little Davey Gilmour and the Pink Floyds were a skiffle band then. They were touring the countryside in a bus posing as brothers in a family band.

Pink Floyd didn't get any commercial exposure until 1967 so Bowie was more like 20. (LOL) I guess it's possible they were playing gigs a couple of years earlier but David would still be in his late teens. Nice try, though!

I also liked that he joked how he had to blame his "dads" for his love of Pink Floyd but what annoyed me was that whoever was in charge of the subtitles decided to replace dads with parents! What a tool!
