There's something fascinating about it. This man in the video looks so ordinary; he could be anyone. One of my biggest regrets re music is not paying enough attention to David Bowie while he was alive. He was incredible. I look forward to more of these videos!! 👍🇦🇺✌️

Many kids that age might believe their dad is the coolest guy in the world. For Lexi that would be true. Their time together was cut short but I am sure that it was golden.

God, 7 years?!? I remember I was sixteen and in highschool. One of my friends told me the news and I ran inside to my music teacher and was like “is it true?!?” and he said I’m afraid it is. sad day.

I agree. love Bowie masterpieces....however, no ideological admirations.....we are all of the same biological presentations...via our predecessors.

The way he lived? He was a drug addicted and a cheater, like most famous rock musicians. I don't hate him for his behaviour at all, but you're better off not idolising anyone at all.

I think Bowie is a person that appears incredible likeable and just has this natural, fascinating aura about everything he says or does. He’s someone you simply WANT to be a good person for raising those feelings of deep affection in you. Just in recent days though I learned that Bowie apparently also had a thing for sex with under age girls and as someone who tends to idolize him I really don’t know what to do with this information. On the one hand it makes him more human with all the cringy flaws we have, on the other hand I’m almost mad at him for ruining this legacy of a great human being.

@@CoIdHeat I read a biography about him, a story about how he and mick jagger had a foursome with some teenage groupies. You can’t take this out of context and judge it. This is the 70s and these girls wanted to sleep with rockstars and threw themselves at them and it wasn’t so frowned upon and everyone was drinking or on drugs. It’s a different world to a pop star in 2023.

@@juliehooper2350 but he was also a very normal bloke. Music was just his job. He used to do the school runs and apparently in his last year's, his friends circle were parents of the school Lexi went to.

It's got to be weird that your dad passed away on the same date and at the same age . Our father died in 1988 but years later it turned out to be the same day as Michael Jackson's passing away and so it always seems more strange now .

Bowie’s art lives in me.

And the beautiful, heart breaking thing is that a child of a musician who has learned to be a musician themselves will always have a special but bittersweet emotional reaction/attachment to their parent's music after they are gone. It's like they still get to share a moment together outside of time. I can't imagine. 🥲

Then he panicked....too late I happened to like his music, up to the unfortunate Let's Dance; by Nile Rogers. Then he became 'David Vegas' However closer examination of all his music, reveals plagiarism. Which to be fair, he admitted to a few months before his demise. His early output ranges from Syd Barrett influenced to Iggy Pop....thus the name Ziggy. I'd be all day listing his 'influences' 🤔 😂 His final two albums, he stole the style from Scott Walker (now he's original, or was) and his baritone soul voice, he stole from mid 1960s Walker Bros (The late 1960s they'd dated the same girl) Best wishes
