It’s so adorable when he’s singing in the car and talks about the fly in his milk.

I love his paranoid, coked-out ruminations on the darkness and weirdness of Los Angeles/Hollywood and environs. The place has always seemed to hold a sinister energy and fascination, the flip-side of its breezy, sunny, blue-skied exterior. Lots of pressure, social isolation, in a land the majority of whose inhabitants come from someplace else, aimless dreamers, most of them deluded and doomed in some way. It's definitely a place that both attracts and repels me at the same time.

I always come back to those few seconds from 4.44, when David, on the road, a hat on, sing back vocals only on Aretha s melody...Auu!! .... Thank you very much for this !

you see if you are a drug addict with talent then life is sweet with shed loads of cash to insulate yourself from the harsh realities - without his music ability Bowie at this stage in his life would be asleep in the gutter.

Would loved to have seen the diamond dog's tour sadly David never brought the tour to england,mind you i was 7years old at the time so i don't think me mum would of let me go.

I want to travel back in time just to give him those tissues the moment he asked for them

They made me look like I had been beaten to death, and brought back, so when I went to go watch a Bad Religion show on October 31st (Halloween)- in Atlanta, Georgia. I worked at the Chamber of Horrors: Connected to the old masquerade which Had many legendary bands play out it just off the top of my mind: Ministry Nirvana, The Addicts, NOFX, The Misfits & so VERY MANY MORE

LA was providing a home for all of the UK's other tax exiles around the same time--Rod Stewart, Mick Fleetwood, etc all headed out there in the early 70s.
