I just love him. He used to play The Riverboat in Toronto in the 70's. What a class act coming from a great tradition of troubadours. Love you Dave.

One of the magazines once rated Bromberg in the top ten guitarists. He can play fiddle and mandolin too !

He is better here than back in the 70's, more soul, more power. This is really an extraordinary piece of music by him and a really great band.

He didn't lack for soul or for musical chops in the '70s. Some of my favorites: The Joke's On Me, Kaatskill Serenade. He was an over-the-top smartass, which we don't see on stage as much now.

I’ve been a dedicated David Bromberg fan ever since the very first tie I saw him performing BACKING JERRY JEFF WALKER IN (GULP - GOOD LORD!) 1972!

He's put on a little weight but when he starts singing I'm right back in the 1970. I've not heard him much at all in the last 20 years but his voice is always in my head. An authentic troubadour, nobody can tell a story quite as well.

I understand he just got tired of the pressures of being such a great star he got into making wooden instruments and led a happy life then started to perform publicly again. i had every one of his albums when i was young, and i did not have that much of a collection, mostly Frank Zappa and such early punks.
