That is so STUNNING! His voice is pure and beautiful and strong and clear and amazing. and seriously emotional. WOW WOW WOW! he makes it all seem so easy....so natural. His voice is the freest voice I have heard in a LONNNG long time!
Of all the songs he did on Idol, I wish this one had been released as a single, and to country -- kudos to David for arrangement and performance but also Dolly for writing such beautiful lyrics.
Oh my God, that was amazing! He is bigger than "Idol". Regardless of what happens there, he will be a superstar. I am quickly becomming "DC" obsessed too.
Just so perfect. He's required to sing Dolly Parton, he arranges it and records (this studio version) and performs a 90 sec version on live TV in a matter of a few days. Unbelievable.
I didn't quite know what to think of this in the live version, but the more I listen to the studio version, the more I love it. I have a feeling that it won't make the cut for his first post Idol album, but I'd be thrilled if he would one day do an entire album like this. I've always had a passion for folk songs, and this is a sweet and sorrowful tale sung masterfully.
Oh My! That was absolutely beautiful! Ok Ok I'm crying right now. This is the first time I've heard the studio version of this one and I must say it was incredible! DC nailed this one but in a much different way. I wish he could have done the complete version LIVE. Sooo touching and his voice was PERFECT! Who says this boy can't sing? I keep hearing this from the bashers and I just don't get it. Cookie you are quite the performer! DC CAN DO IT ALL AND DO IT SO WELL!

This is beautiful!! I love his voice. I will buy is next CD. I have enjoyed Analog Heart, there's not a bad song in the bunch. 3 or 4 of the songs are radio ready, if not more.

I love David Cook!! I think he's awesome and I hope he wins this season. I love him and David Archuleta but I don't want Archuleta to win because he's just so young (I hope he's at least in the top 2 or 3 though). David Cook has the star quality and is just amazing.

at this point, even if he doesn't win it all, AI still owns him. The label that produces the winner's album also has first rights of refusal for the runnerups. Obviously, they are going to want to produce his album. So, I want him to win and get that first million to help him get on his way even faster. He'll be free of AI in time, and things will only get better after that.
You know what? If he ends up as the runner up to David Archuleta, it won't matter. He will blow DA's records out for sure. And lets face it, AI is more like a popularity contest (Syesha is great, but no one is voting for her. Too bad) and David C might not win, but it won't hurt him, it might be better actually.

I think DA has an enormous amount of talent but doesnt have the charisma that DC has? Maybe its just me. I see David Cook selling out concerts, and selling millions. With DA i see little 12, 13, 14 year old girls screaming cuz he's "omg so cute" lol. or the old ladies wanting to pinch his cheeks. IDK i just look at DC and see a superstar. I look at DA and see someone fading out it little time.
