Gilmour and Clapton were born to play the blues. I truly believe they have access to a level of musical thought that is gifted to a very select group. Every note and phrase is connected in a way that makes perfect sense. It always just sounds right. You know how when you ask someone that is really talented how they do it and they always say "I dont know it just seems to flow without really trying". Its just there.
great version wall to wall legends .. no pun intended. I like the way David Gilmore sort of smiles at the camera in the middle of that solo. And jools Holland. Genius and Mica Paris beautiful voice.
David Gilmour was my bridge to the blues many years ago, a rabbit hole I am glad to have fallen down. And like the old blues masters, Dave plays with feeling and makes every phrase, every note, and every pause mean something. I can listen to him play all day.

You can always tell a David Gilmour solo. It's just something natural in him that comes through and sounds like no other. Always imitated, never duplicated.
What a great version. DG is superb and Mica is always best when she sings songs she can connect with. A vastly talented singer who should have had a much bigger career.
Oh my god this was honestly perfect! Now I know that most of you really hate when people do this, but I'm going to do it anyways. I am 15 years old, and I think that this is such a fantastic piece of musicianship. I wasn't bored or distracted once during this video, just like I am never bored while listening to lengthy Pink Floyd tracks like Echoes, or even Atom Heart Mother. Not all of the teenagers these days are stupid lazy people who enjoy stupid lazy music. Don't lose faith in my generation.

From the first notes that Gilmore began this solo shows how original blues player this guy is . In my opinion one of the best. He plays easy difficult music.
I've been listening to this magnificent song since the 60s. I think it's a Screaming Jay Hawkins tune. This version clears everything else out of my head. My favorite new version. Also, the first time Iv'e heard Mica Paris. She has a powerfully haunting soulful presence. Glad I found this!

David Gilmour no me deja de sorprender. A todo lo que hace le imprime pasión, técnica y talento. Súper Guitarra y con esa voz de Mica... Una delicia...!!!
He truly does. While this has been said about other guitarist, In my humble opinion, David Gilmour can express more with one note than most guitarist can with five. His bends are just so amazing. I also liked that signature grin he flashed across the room during the solo.
@@johnroberts5285 😂 been seeing that alot more since grumpy went, though its really tragic that could not sort it, but you need 2 people to talk and with Rodger it is one.. Rodger should be given his due as a genius for writing and alot of the signiture effects were him the till on money and coins was him that base along with it wow. I was listening to his solo stuff and apart from the pros and cons of hitchhiking it's amazing What God wants, God gets is amazing. Tyke whole album is.
