Clapton and Page get the recognition but Gilmour was the true English guitar masterclassman of that era imo. A truly unique, distinguishable sound. His playing evoked emotion in a way that’s still untouched to this day.

There is no word that can describe his guitar playing... No words....

I listen to "Coming Back to Life" over and over...the guitar solo is masterful and so good...Gilmour is a virtuoso..

Less is more with Gilmour. I have played for 40+ years and he's been a massive influence on my playing. Clapton too. I can seem to express better if I'm playing Blues and Blues Rock. Some players may say it's an easy genre to play and that may be so. But to play and it mean something to who your playing for is what it's about for me. I can shred and do the drop D thing but it's Blues infused Rock that floats my boat. Masterful performance by Gilmour and Gary Moore's rendition of Red House at this show was unnatural, in a good way.

I love marooned! One of my favourite pieces of gilmour’s playing, so minimalistic but emotion destroying!

I have a black strat with a bare maple neck, I swapped out the white pick guard for a black one and yeah, I got a Dave Gilmour black strat tribute guitar. The Strat is a great guitar to play, no fret buzz or Gibson bridge rattles. I have about 9 different guitars but the Strat is the one I always reach for
