David is a genius! my father was a big fan of pink floyd, and in Soviet times their vinyl was very difficult to get, and then at the risk of ending up behind bars. I am grateful to my father for keeping these records for me. Thanks Lee for the reminder of my childhood.

I believe this was a follow up to "Have a Cigar" & speaking to the industry executives. I think the opening verses in the bridge bear that out. "You can have anything you want You can drift, you can dream, even walk on water Anything you want You can own everything you see Sell your soul for complete control, is that really what you need?"

Dude, this is a 30 year old Pink Floyd song with lyrics co-written by his then gf Polly Samson. It's one of my favourite PF songs, and doesn't have anything to do with Roger imo.

There is a bit of a debate about whether it was asking the fans or was it his wife the question about what do you want from me? That black strat that David is playing sold for $3.975 million dollars at a charity auction in 2019 This was 45 years after they filmed their movie Live In Pompeii ( no audience at the time) This came out in 1994 for the Division Bell album

No he is not. Not every song is about Roger you know. This song is about Polly, his wife, and back then girlfriend.
