David Hasselhoff sings "Nadia's Theme" Young and the Restless (Merv Griffin Show 1977) 

I never thought I would see the Knight Rider sing this beautiful song, this is so awesome!

I have always loved the theme from the soap opera, but I didn’t realize it had words until I recently discovered this version by David. My goodness. Can you imagine being alive during his youth. So handsome. Such a beautiful voice. He pulls you right in. 😭

This song was actually called "Cotton's Theme" when it was created in the early 70's, and in fact was credited as such on "The Young and the Restless" theme song. In 1976, ABC Sports did a montage for then-global sensation Nadia Comăneci from Romania, the gymnast who set a lot of records at the time. After Flip Wilson did a retrospective hour about Nadia, with this song playing throughout, the name was changed from it's original ("Cotton's Them") to Nadia's Theme, re-released, and because the 8th top selling song of the year.

I like the instrumental version of Nadia's Theme much better and the fact the title was inspired by Nadia Comaneci kicking gymnastics butt and putting on a masters clinic when she scored seven perfect 10s at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.
