It’s funny, I always viewed Selena and David as co-leads. The dynamic between Alex and Justin is the foundation of the series, both characters are just as vital to the shows success. Without David the show just wouldn’t have worked

Wow! He was under contract for a different show but somehow that meant he had to do a completely new show where he wasn’t the main character. Disney, they do play the games don’t they?

I’m mad that he didn’t have the same recognition as Selena when they both carried the show equally. Both of them are the only ones that appeared in every single episode

Yeah they also tricked Jennifer as well. She wanted to be Alex because reoccurring rolls on Disney didn't pay enough for her to live in LA. So they told her she could read for Alex but then when they got her there they tried to convince her to take a reoccurring roll again. 🙄

Met him a few years ago in a doctors waiting room bc we both had the same neurosurgeon, I just told him I was a big fan of his show growing up and he ended up talking to me for a little while, then he got called in to the office. On his way out he offered to take a picture with me so I obliged and he proceeded to have his gf take a pic of us with his own phone and he put it on his instagram story.

One of the biggest crimes is that David didn’t get any awards for the show Selena and Jake T Austin took them all and even Bridgett Mendler got an award for guest staring

Disney vastly underpaid Hilary, Selena, Miley, and Zendaya/Bella thorn only got 1800$ per episode. They made over 200 million off Hannah Montana, millions on Lizzie, Millions on wizards, and they paid the cast nothing. That’s why he mentioned that he could’ve made more on CBS. Then, the actors get typecasted and have to fight very hard to shake off the Disney persona. It follows them their entire career. Disney is a very greedy company that has lost its touch, now they just make crappy remakes and sequels hoping our nastalgia will hide the fact that Hocus Pocus 2 was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. The first hocus pocus was my favorite movie growing up 😢

Disney basically took him away from NBC with a contract, then they fired him, gave the lead to Selena Gomez, and then contractually coerced him again, this time to play her #2 AFTER FIRING HIM.
