Hello Maro Maged - thanks for raising this. The initial inspiration for making David was ignited as Phil Cunningham (Director) read the scriptural account of David's life, and we are very passionate about bringing this story to screen in a way that is as authentic to the Biblical text. This passion has fueled four trips to Israel so far, and we have engaged deeply with Biblical scholars and archaeologists (and continue to do so), as we continue to refine our script. Hi Nancy Such a good question. The average animated movie take about 4-7 years to make because of the complexity and skill set needed to make animation. The process is very intense. We desire to make an animated movie of the highest quality while still being a good steward of our money. We are on schedule to release David in 2025. We have raised $19.6m already which has been used for the following: FUNDS TO DATE HAVE BEEN USED FOR: Story development (draft 4 complete) Storyboarding and animatics ( animatic up draft 3 complete) Research and Development (5 team trips to Israel) Character design Environment design Pipeline development, testing, and growth to support film of this scale Animation tests Commencement of modeling the world and characters Music development (20 songs written in this phase) Voice-over philosophy and strategy developed Executive Music Producer attached The last $30m will be to complete the film, distribution it and market it.

@@liliesofthefield5310 I very much appreciate the amount of effort they put into making the movie. When making animation you need a basis and references (e.g. video and photo material or different angles, perspectives, places/locations) to have an idea of what you create - since you don't just "film" the background, but rather draw or (in 3D) build it digitally. From what I gathered so far of how they go about it, they want to deliver a movie that sticks close to the bible instead of just coming up with some invented sceneries to tell a pretty story and that is really really neat, since not many people put that much effort in researching. I for one am very happy to be able to expect a scenery and story that will also display visibly the as much as possible proper environment the historical stories of David took place 🥰
