Hey Stu, I have a question, I went to a chiropractor after 10+ years of discomfort in my back and they found a subluxation in my lower back left side. It caused me to become lazy and I lost alot of athletic ability ever since year 7 in high school. I noticed that the left side of my body has injuries top to bottom, my left ankle is weak on the outside (injury), my left knee is definitely damaged, my left shoulder doesn't function right, my left ribs are in my opinion are really stuck and my left hip has dull pain front and back. My chiropractor recommended I do ashtanga Yoga after discovering that I'm really tight, and its very true, i couldn't sit up straight in the right angle 90 degree position, anyway I have been following your advice on stretching the whole back line of my body and it has really helped! but my question is, my legs are unusually skinny, especially my bum, can short/small gluteus cause problems? My guess is I stopped using them. Also my sternum, ribs and abdominal are/were tight and also weak, should I strengthen my abdominals and glute's and stretch them too, I'm malnourished remember, no muscle

Tennis ball thing - Cool experiment. Sitting here listening to this on my day off and feeling my very sore hamstrings from this week! I tried a forward fold which resulted in fairly bent legs for comfort. Then, I took my knuckles to the bottoms of my feet for a few seconds each and tada! second forward fold with almost straight legs. I get to spend this upcoming week with David Keil for Mysore - so excited!!

Put a block in between your things and press inward on it, tada! Instant straight leg forward fold.
