"Mistake" would imply he did it accidentally not knowing how bad of a choice it was. Starmer isn't dumb, he knows exactly what he's doing, yet he does it anyway. That's the real issue.

The european project, as he puts it, did not exist in the 1940s. Unless you want to decribe hitlers ambitions that way. Its alarming that unknowledgeable people can become mps.

As Labour received less votes in 2024 than Jeremy received in 2017 and 2019 I'm not sure that you can say we voted for Labour. In my case I voted against the "Conservatives". First past the post did the rest.

All I can see here is one intelligent and articulate man trying to explain a basic piece of history to a plank that has no intentions of listening to him try to educate him.
This man isn't stupid, he has a masters in law and spent some time as a barrister. What we are witnessing is not a lack of intellect, it is a lack of knowledge. He has hitched his wagon to an ideology and he lacks the curiosity to read anything outside of his narrow viewpoint. It's really quite embarrassing to think this man represents anyone in the UK.

He does lack knowledge and has a narrow viewpoint...but he's also lacking intelligence. I'm not saying he's a moron, but he doesn't have a sparkling intellect either. He's a mid-wit who is grossly ignorant of history and lacks critical thinking skills.
This man who you state isn't stupid, said on his radio show on LBC that banning small vans in Central London was fine because tradesmen who rely on them to do their work could take their tools materials and ladders on the Underground and buses. Really?😂😂
@@dartskipper3170 I have revised my opinion of him more recently. The comment you responded to was 4 years old. God knows how he managed a masters degree, even if it's just a legal degree it usually requires a modicum of intellectual ability.
