I love the cats. My 800 keeps up well with 850s. Twin rail is needed option though I believe. If cat offered a sled with both to swap back and forth I'd buy it. I love the feel of chassis compared to my buddies polaris'.
The 2.6” track is as good as a twin rail in old snow and worked surprisingly good last April in our late season storms. The 146 is the funnest sled length ever if you want to ride it like a jet ski. I think everyone that wants to learn bow ties and level up their riding should get a 146. Ideally have a 165 in the garage for big days as well but the average guy in the states can learn a lot on a 146. I know it helped me a ton.
Super sick snowmobile. I still say they're the hottest looking sled on the snow....and the Alpha's are a better snowmobile than most people are riders. Even with "just an 800" under the hood. God I miss Rob..
Cat is done. I could guess ANOTHER filed bankruptcy in the next few years. They impressed absolutely no one with the release of the ‘23 sleds. New paint, congrats !
@@fasterdura1772 What you’re only hearing this from me? Oh man, you should probably figure that out. There’s a reason Doo and Poo dominate the market. I have seen nothing but complaints from people, even Cat riders! About how they’ve done absolutely nothing the last few years, and this year they changed the paint, and only the paint, AGAIN. Smell the flowers buddy
Its said how few brand ambassadors cat has,and the ones they do have do nothing to promote the brand.i mean the 23 mountain sleds are still using the same tail light, snowflap, boards ect from The 2012.they dont even make the small attempt to changed and improve the things they easily could.been a lifelong cat rider but their losing me with the same ol same same ol year after year.and here we have a sponsored cat guy, talking up aftermarket parts.so basically buy a new cat and go nuts on aftermarket to make it comparable to other oems factory stuff.dont get me wrong,im all about aftermarket.but what cat is doing, they are losing lifelong cat guys and fail miserably to attract new customers.
All they can come up with since 2018 for a new motor is new graphics to make horse power the engineers must be on cocaine and having to much fun fooling and laughing at the cat fans.
