The "Queen of Southern Gospel Music", Vestal Goodman, used to tell younger artist like David to, "Paint the picture for the audience", when they sang a song. This song is a perfect example of David doing that. Loved it!!!❤
At minute 4:05 we have a R.E.D. Alert--the guy in the blue shirt with his hands high in the air is David's old friend Russ Taff. He came to the Barn strictly to hear the Freedom taping.
David wrote this song for the DVD Freedom. He knows how to "paint a picture with his voice." I love all of his music. He can sing anything. He is so versatile. He has such a great voice. He is 52 now and his voice is still strong and great.
I absolutely LOVE this song, and seeing it live in the Barn is beyond phabulous!! Nobody sings a story like David, you can see the lyrics playing out in your head like a movie, phantastic!
I can listen to David over and over and I do lol. His sister is awesome on the trumpet. I also enjoyed how everyone got into this. I have the DVD and hearing it never gets old.

Magnificent! The story, his powerful voice and orchestrations are utter perfection. David is a special gift for our souls, heart and faith. He is so very blessed and such a blessing to us all.
