David Popovici just BLASTED a 46.88 in the 100 free at the 2024 European Championships That swim confirms one thing VERY clearly, David Popovici isn’t going ANYWHERE in this event
@@XDF745lol… you have no idea How much David trains. He is and will be the best swimmer in the world for a long time. Michael Phelps congratulated and commented on His talent. The only swimmer he EVER gave an opinion about. This speaks a lot.
@@rigysx3409 Yeah, he had a great performance in the 100 free, given his training circumstances. It's hard to stay at the top (just like Popovici's 2023 shows).
He's too young and fast to be counted out in Paris, though I'm not sure if indoor pools are an issue at all. (We'd have to compare all of his indoor-outdoor times.) But I am curious to know what caused the slight dip in his performances last year.
Studies maybe. He also enrolled at the University of Bucharest. As amazing as he is as an athelete, he is also incredibly inteligent. This year, due to Paris, he put his studies on hold.
Last year he prioritized his studies, as he took his high school final exam. He is a young man with very good results in education as well, not only in the swimming pool. The trainings were done among the hours dedicated to the study.
He WILL win 1st place at the Olympics. He WILL ! His dedication is UNBELIEVABLE. His motivation is out of this world. He is the best swimmer. He is my brother.
Popovici likes outdoor pool, he wont do much in the indoor pool in Paris, hope Im wrong, but small chances for finish top 3 ... If was outdoor pool, hmm
Can omit Ceasar Cielo and Alain Bernard from the list as they wore the cheat suit back then when creating the WR. These cheat suits have been banned already.
Those are not "cheat suites" and they were not cheating. The definition of cheating is when rules are broken. Those suites were legal, so no cheating happened. Yes, they gave an unfair advantage to them but everyone used those suites.
