David Steinberg, founder of the Pre-Shortzian Puzzle Project, gives an update on the progress of the "litzing" of all of the NYT crossword puzzles that were published before the editorship of Will Shortz. David also goes into considerable depth on the topic of the disparity of the representation of women vis-à-vis men whose puzzles are published in the NYT. David's hypotheses will undoubtedly open the door to serious debate as to it's validity and it is likely that other opinions as to the reason why women are under represented will come forth.
