Modernity eliminated getting eaten by animals, then from getting killed in industrial accidents and then infections. Now we are killings ourselves through toxic diets
Brilliant podcast Tom, one for the annals. David pointed out a flaw in the system and a big one at that. I guess it's always a question of following the money to the appropriate ideology. Brian Berletic makes the same parallels between Foundations and NGOs influencing foreign governments for the benefit of the arms industry. Oh what a twisted web we weave. Thanks again Tom and keep up the good fight.
Very good interview! On the same topic, Tom, talk ti Vivian Kraus in Canada who did a lot of work and publications on foundation money flowing into Canada to fight the oil sands in Alberta.
So, in sum, what we have is the owner-elite 0.1% class's foundations (tax shelters) being used by them to steer public policy via legal machinations (using scientists as their willing, bought-n-paid-for assistants) instead of by old-style direct bribery of public officials. I guess that's some different mechanics but the main modus is the same as it's always been. We also still have the game of lobbying as well and of course the campaign contribution game as well. Bottom line: The owner-elite are in control of the law-making process. Democracy?? No... oligarchy or plutocracy.
