Davin Lake Loop - Day 7

During day 7, I head back to the Buss Lakes. On the way back I find a new portage that eliminates the need to do two really dirty portages. I don't know how I missed this on the satellite imagery?! Once in the Buss Lakes, I throw out a lure in a feeble attempt to catch a Walleye. When the weather turns I put away my rod and make camp.

Happy the resolution is good! Same here.....been watching canoe vids constantly. I'm so pumped for paddling this year. Got some good trips planed for this year.

Nice action! I haven’t seen so much pike action since last MMM lol. Just imagine if you were actually trying to catch pike !!!

Oh gawd too much pike action. It always seems like the pike get super frisky right before a rain storm. Maybe if I concentrated on them I could of caught a big one! Meh.......

Another great video. Thanks for the shout out. Layne McKenzie took a couple of weeks on the Pink River, and Deception Lake. Corrie, I never checked out the lodge when I went through, but you guys have a beautiful set of lakes to fish from. You have some good neighbor's too. I always get treated well at Davin Lake Lodge and the Macoun Lake crew were splendid as well. Its been a thorn in my side that I never got to finish the trip. Its the only trip I've done where I had to turn back. I would love another chance to come in to clean up and flag all the potages from Cuelenaere Lake to Upper Nistoassini Lake. If I get the opportunity, I'll let you guys know and drop in for a visit. Thanks for dropping a line, and hope to visit soon!
