I recommend Bernd's courses and tutorials as he is such a teacher that is keen to relay the information in a way that tell you "why we are doing this" which is rare to find in other trainings. In addition he is always there via mail to answer questions and give more guidance.
Bernd is an amazing teacher. He is always reachable on mail. If you hesitate to buy a course - just buy it. You won’t regret it and if you do … well - life goes on. I’m getting this and in depth fusion too.

Great to hear thanks. This training here is more for those who want the round trip through all areas of resolve. But of course I have my more advanced Fusion courses as well :-)
I think that the timeline needs to be improved, I mean that it can be minimized more, like adobe premiere, I mean the tracks. And also that they put focus, one thing is to focus and another thing is to give sharpness, I think it lacks that.
If this is a feature request, I recommend the BMD forum. I am not involved with the development. As trainer I could point to a few things Resolve does which Premiere is lacking though... 😉
Im starting a YT channel and want to be able to make good enough YT vids with an intro using my logo, music, transitions, and be able to show text and images that I'll be talking about in the vids, next to me on the screen, and use split screens and put virtual backgrounds behind me. Will I be able to do that after taking your course?
Most of it probably. The course focuses on editing which also includes things like layering and resizing images, putting logos on top, doing music edits etc. Reg. Virtual Background - this course here doesn't have a VFX focus. So chromakeying and stuff like that aren't the focus. But if you get the basics you can probably supplement your knowledge with some additional youtube tutorials or think about my Fusion VFX course if you want to go deeper in that area.

After you pay the $300 for a license, will DR charge you for upgrades and/or new features they develop after you purchase the license like Filmora does? I want to switch to DR if they don't pull this same BS on their customers. They deceive you by saying you get free upgrades, but then they charge you for new features!
I love your tutorials, but man that certification from BMD is not serious. I got my Resolve certification earlier this year, their test was a real joke, did it in less than 30 minutes and got 96%. You answer a few questions from a pool, so if you redo the test you may get almost all different questions, the questions are A B C or D with often 1 or 2 really dumb answers, you can have the manual and the software open while doing the test.
The certification is just to test if you remember where each feature is and what it's called. It doesn't say much about your skills as an editor. But the training material and curriculum that BMD developed together with the books is quite good and I'm happy to use it as a rough path in the course. Of course I supplement it with my own explanations...
