Trying to get Certified for DaVinci Resolve 

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. After losing tons of time searching for certain functions in DR, youtube, and forums, I finally decided to take a step back and do the beginners training and will continue with the other training after that. To anyone else reading this: If you are new to editing and/or DR I can assure you it's not a waste of time. On the contrary, taking the time to do the training will speed up your learning curve. The courses are a gem and I highly recommend them!

Thought I'd share this because it's important. I am a music school owner in Egypt. We were recently approached by the holder of the Davinci franchise in Egypt and were asked to become the first Davinci Resolve training facility. Since we usually teach music on screens and computers we are well equipped but when we got the requirements from Davinci Global we were struck with the "at least 1 certified davinci resolve trainer". We were going to get media professors to teach the course since they already teach davinci at most media universities in Egypt, however now we realised that the test is needed. This is important to understand the importance of the test on it's own.

Thank you. This is just what I was looking for in terms of what to expect in the test-taking process. Knowledge has never been my kryptonite…test taking is.

Hi Ben, I want to be certified too, and I am struggling to pick a training partner because I don't know what is going on with that. Right now I am learning from Blackmagic sit from their Training page and their youtube channel so please tell me did I need to choose some training? Because when I want to hit the test I need to select someone.

Great video! Congrats on passing! I'd love to get certified as you have. How does DaVinci track how far along you are in the training videos till it gives you access to the test? Can you just watch the videos on their website or do you need to download each video? Just trying to understand how to get access to the test.

The editors exam is effing hard. At least for me. Seems need to pass on first try. I got an 84 on first try. Then it has got very specific and they change words and highlighted portion etc around so the question seems the same but it's not. 84, 74, 80. Gotta wait till October to get my counter reset. They also ask questions that were not in review in guide OR the course I took online. Crazy. Open book isn't really helpful on a timed test that you only have a min a question. I didn't have or find a GUIDE u can put keywords into for the editing exam just a pdf with index? Very frustrating lol It probably helps that you have been actually doing the work for a while. I'm just a beginner but I've studied the f outta the material. I can answer all the review qs no problem. It's the 'what would happen if this was performed' and a pic with clip and highlighted portions...stuff like that. Because I would be like uh this would happen and get it wrong because one of the auto track selectors WASNT highlighted or something. So studying the pic carefully then trying to research is a non starter . You have to know.. Hope the color, fairlight and fusion are easier for me 😂

Damn first try I got 83% argh. The worst is I've missed easy one on details...
