Davood and Nadiya Argentine Tango to ‘The Phantom Of The Opera’ - Strictly Come Dancing 2017 

Fair play to him for being the first out of two male celebs left this year to take on the challenge of the Argentine Tango. Although it was slightly wobbly in certain places, I thought the content and the final part was outstanding! It’s been a pleasure to watch Davood grow as a dancer, and hope he keeeeeeps dancing after the show 😊

Great climax and that provoked quite a response from the audience.In my opinion giving a couple an Argentine Tango on a themed week is really throwing a curveball at them.It was unsteady in places but I have a feeling they will be safe.If they do reach the final, I think these two will produce a Showdance worth watching.

I thought that this was brilliant!

This doesn’t look like Vincent Simone choreography. Who is responsible for this.? It lacks that necessary dark sensuality and was jerky and weird in some places.

The music is was auful

I have watched Strictly for a number of years since I was little (9 or 10) and have loved the show ever since.... From what I've seen, compared to Debbie and Alexandra's Argentine Tango routines which were both flat out A.MA.ZING which just demonstrates how the routine is executed to perfection.🔥🔥🔥 This routine proved that Davood and Nadiya ran straight into a brick wall which landed them in the bottom 2..... Phantom of the Opera routine is more of a Paso Doble Halloween Week dance routine and the music just doesn't suite Argentine Tango standards at all tbh.😒😒👎👎 If there was a different theme like music changes and different chorography to their routine, it would have helped them and it would have been a different story, Davood would have probably gotten away reaching the Semis with the help of public votes if they loved it better. A very brave, strong effort from both of them to what was a very difficult, confusing and mediocre routine that didn't even sound like an Argentine Tango themed dance. It was a real shame and I did feel bad for them because made it this far in 11 weeks and were almost in contention for the glitter ball trophy that year in 2017.😢😢

This is sad but everything that was wrong with the routine were pretty much out of their hands...Phantom of the Opera is clearly not an Argentine Tango song. The choreography was too reliant on lifts and didn’t give Davood much to do which is not a fault of Nadiya since the pros don’t even choreograph the Argentine tangos. This whole thing smells like the producers wanting them to get Davood out instead of Mollie

Nadia is too tall for him to be doing this dance, he still did very well

The Ballroom is Haunted!!

I was unsteady in places and it was lacking the passion and the intimacy that is important and crucial in this dance. It could have been a fantastic number - he was creating some fabulous lines, he was very smooth and his musicality was great, but it wasn't grounded enough (his connection to the floor wasn't good enough, causing him to loose balance in places) and it was lacking in the terms of performance and characterization. A 7.

What did they do to the song

Do think this as flat footed with Obvious mistakes but he did not bad at ten last 6 sections if I'm right but it was undermarked definitely and the singer was :/ to be honest. Loved the ending though where he was being used instead of Nadiya. 8

OK I actually love this song but the theme overtook the dance and he was stompy and not sharp enough. Where was the leg action? The ending 30 seconds or so was nice and well controlled... the rest? meh? Dance Off with Gemma if there's any justice.

Why was it a fix? no one obviously voted for him and put him in the b2 and you know Alex is one of the judges favourite, I voted 3 times for him, you need to see it is a dance not improvement or personality contest and you need to vote the best dancers in not the ones you just like or favour, this is why Mollie can't get to the final she needs to go she has to it would be ludicrous to let a mediocre dancer in the final over an exquisite one, just think.......

personally I didn't see many issues apart from 1 balance one, a 9 from me, I don't want him to go because he has potential and is better than cr*p Mollie who desperately is begging to go home!

All the bits he did well in this dance has nothing to do with AT. He looks visibly unsteady several times. Highly stylised routine but didn't work overall. Pity. 7.5

Awful choreography - I do not like seeing the tango done with lots of Bum flash or bum in air routine.

I just think the choreo is just shit, which stems from the music, which is shit for an AT. Kara did a splendid Paso to this because that's the dance this damn song suited as. Plenty of couples had been hosed with shit music this series, but most managed to pull through (Debbie's Black Eyed Peas Tango in particular), Davood here just sadly couldn't cut it.
