Dawn had that Salt-N-Pepa asymmetrical hairdo that was huge in the late 80s early nineties.

Dawn played with the boys while in high school and she had three brothers. She always played tough and wasn't afraid of contact. I loved watching her at UVA and her game translates in any error. She got that DAWG in her!!!

Out of all her abilities, the thing that impressed me the most is at 5' 6" how she would challenge and defeat much bigger girls down in the paint. I'm not just talking about on fast breaks but actually facing them up or with them at her back. I also liked the fact that we wore the same number.

That spin up and under at 1:29 was 🔥🔥🔥🔥

She showed out in the 96’ Olympics. That was the women’s version of the men’s 92’ dream team

Quickness, finesse, footwork, speed agility, basketball I.Q. all off the charts! Dobbins Tech’s Hoops Superstar

She was tough!💪🏾💯

She Just won the Championship Game FOLKS 38-0 , WHERE IS RHE RESPECT!!!!

I loved watching her in her prime. She was so fun to watch.

North Philly, Dobbins Tech high school, she played at the same school with Bo Kimble, Hank Gathers and other Philly legends, she use to play against the boys because the girls couldn't keep up with her she really was that good of a player as you can see. Dawn Staley!!!!

Dawn Staley having an undefeated regular season, and winning the NCAA Championship brought me here. Only the 5th head coach in NCAAWBB to have done so. She really is phenomenal!

She was and still is my favorite women's player of all time and she's coaching my second favorite player Zia Cooke

She is the reason i wore 24 in high school since i couldnt get 23 for jordan being from Chicago. Then years later it was perfect when kobe switched to 24,him being jordan's little brother, then when he passed the number 24 means more to me for her and him and they both having philly roots

I remember watching her play back then and she was nothing to play with. Teams game planned around her play and still couldn't stop her.

Who else is finding out Staley had this kind of game, fresh from winning her 3rd chip as a coach?!

Definitely happy she was able to get a championship as a coach, she could ball.

I may not be a fan of her right now (mainly because of her team), but I will say she and her 96' Olympic team was the first time I was introduced to women's basketball, and how that group then went into the newly formed WNBA. So it was kind of cool seeing a new league and following players I had just watched in the Olympics (Lisa Leslie, Dawn, Rebecca, etc).
