This video shows the results of a DHI hair transplant after one year in the form of a time lapse. I took every day a picture after my hair transplant to create a time lapse of the growth of my transplanted hair. This video is created in 365 days and will hopefully be a clear example of the before and after effects from a hair transplant. More information concerning hair transplants can be found in my other videos linked in this description or on my channel.
(if I use often the words 'hair transplant' in the description, it's because of SEO)

@SuperNova I think this happens with most people indeed. However, I didn't really notice a lot of shedding in my case... Just a couple of months after the intervention I think I had some shedding but not much. However, if you do have some in the first year, no need to panic as a lot of people have that in the beginning. But afterwards the hair will come back 😊 hope this helped! Good luck!

Hi there, nice result! I am 25 years old and did FUE 2 days ago, 3689 grafts. I did my hairline and the crown. The procedure took around 7 hours and man what did my head felt weird lol! To the ones considering, you can always earn the money, but cannot grow new hair when it is already fallen out! Only the few first needles are felt and after you just lay down while they work on your hair. The most important thing is patience for your hair to grow back!

Update 28 september 2021 I am a different person, I am so happy that I had the balls to just go for it and my life's changed since then - in a very positive way. Of course there are still some patches which are thinner then the rest of it, but u don't even look at that/care anymore since the hairline is so thick. The hairs are from the back of your head which are immune for DHT, the hormone which makes hair follicles fall out. My highlights would be: - Be aware that the first few weeks are the hardest (I don't mean pain, there's like no pain at all after FUE, you just have to be careful since your wounds need to heal - first week or so sleeping on your back only). Take your rest and the prescripted medicines and select some netflix series. - You may not go to the gym or work in I guess the first week, but I would take 2 weeks instead. - After these weeks you will have visible crusts which will slowly harden and fall off within weeks. (some people wear hats, but I would let it ventilate) - I hated the shedding phase the most since the new hairs fall out, you look and feel like you failed the FUE/balded even more. But then the first (nice) results kick in after 4-5 months and you forget ALL about the stages you went through and you feel EUPHORIC & HAPPY. - After these months the result just gets even better and better and better - You might bald more, around the transplanted area but it is way less noticeable, and I was like I am only young once.., let's f*king go for it! - Most important is that it takes time/patience, I would say the best results are noticeable after 7-8 months. At 4 months you already see a nice hairline, and at 6 thicker hair. - Also important is to go to a clinic which has the DENSEST technique, the more dense, the better the results. Do not go for the cheapest option as I have seen that that often result in bad results. Which might help is googling this sentence 'phases-of-hair-growth-after-fue-surgery'

@@njitsbe Amai! Drie jaar?

Is it helping your social life? In the beginning of your video you mentioned what were people's comments about you and your fears; do you think the situation has improved after the hair transplant? Or did it just help your self-confidence? (that's enough as well)

@@Gabiche its been 7 days and its going good, swollen face came as a surprise and scary, did not expect face to swell so much since you never mentioned in videos, and one question, did all your hair survive or did some of them die? I fear some follicles might have come out and might die
@Gabiche
@Gabiche 3 года назад
@@Ujwal.v Hm, I never mentioned a swollen face because in my experience I never had that issue when I think about it. Especially the first few weeks I filmed a lot about my experience and I don't remember being swollen. Perhaps they did some PRP during your intervention and with the plasma it made your face swell up? I think that with DHI they don't do that so perhaps that could be the difference (if you did fue). Or perhaps it was a reaction of your body? I'm not sure... If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to contact your doctor! But I wouldn't worry too much, I think it's normal for some people. And concerning your other question, I think there is never a 100% survival rate of all the implanted hairs. However, I didn't notice any loss in my own experience. Perhaps some shedding after a couple of weeks (which is normal) but it will grow back. As long as you're being very careful the first year, all will be fine and only after 12 months you can really evaluate your intervention. Anyway, I wish you happy growing! ☺️

@Gabiche
@Gabiche 3 года назад
Hi there! Thank you for your kind words, really appreciate it. Well the first weeks I stayed at home and tried to avoid any crowded places. But that's just temporary until the first hairs started growing. Unfortunately, you can only wear a cap after a couple of months. Therefore, in the beginning there was nothing special that I did to cover my implanted area. After your transplant, You may use a very large hat that doesn't touch the implanted area. But I just didn't want to risk damaging the freshly implanted grafts so I chose to avoid all that. I hope this kind of answers your question. Take care mate! ✌️

And since I'm feeling better in my own skin, I can say I'm pleased with the results 😊 and concerning the gaps. I don't notice them (yet) but I'm sure they will appear in a couple of years. I'm mentally prepared to do another hair transplant to follow my hair loss. Thanks, Jamie! Unfortunately I have to take minoxidil every day. But with time it’s something I got used to, just like we need to brush our teeth daily, I had to make spraying minoxidil part of my routine. It takes 10 seconds but in the beginning it was annoying to get used to it, haha (at least in my case). Hope this answers your question! ✌️

@Gabiche
@Gabiche 3 года назад
Hi Nicola! Thanks for the feedback. And to answer your question, it depends from on person to another and it can take a few days/weeks and sometimes a few months. Certain people experience very little hair fall after the operation, and with others it's quite significant. Nevertheless, you shouldn't be worried because that's a temporary reaction of your body. It will take at least 12 - 18 months to fully get your end result. In between those months your hair can change and evolve differently. But there is nothing to worry about 😉 If you have any concerns, I'm sure you can always contact your clinic and they will know if you're experiencing something you should be worried about or not 😊 but I think everything will turn out as planned. Hope this helps. Cheers !

First of all, thank you for your kind comment! I really appreciate the positive feedback! And yes, now I do feel much more confident with my new hairline. I win a lot of time in front of the mirror now, because I was always trying to hide as much as possible on the sides where I was losing most of my hair. However, the first couple of months after the surgery was a complete different story though. Last time I had a shaved head, I was 7 years old or so, so I felt very insecure for a while. I was also avoiding to go out in public the first couple of weeks/months after the transplant, but once the first hairs started to grow. I started to become every week a little bit more confident and now, 1 year later, I feel very satisfied with the results! I gained the hairline back that I lost 8 years ago! ☺️ I couldn't be happier!

Hey man, did you use any Finasteride or Minoxidil before and after the Hair transplant? i want to do it as well but i dont want to take anything except natural vitamins etc... will it be good outcome or it will fail without any medications ?
@rdean150
@rdean150 Год назад
Personally minoxidil made my situation noticeably worse. It doesn't work for everyone and can essentially fast forward the thinning on some (like me). I was similarly reluctant about finasteride for probably way too long. Wish I'd gotten on it sooner tbh. I was reluctant bc I didn't want to risk the side effects. Eventually my thinning and receding progressed far enough that my confidence was so bad, I realized that side effects are irrelevant if I can't even get to the point where I'd need to perform in the first place, if you know what I mean. Who cares if the equipment works if nobody wants to use it.
@rdean150
@rdean150 Год назад
Oh but to answer your question, none of the vitamins or supplements I tried stopped the progression. Mayyyybe they slowed it slightly, it's literally impossible to know, but nothing stopped it until I got on finasteride. The most important factors, I believe, are minimizing stress and getting enough sleep. And least, when my progression has been the fastest was when I was hyper stressed due to my job and barely getting 4 hours of sleep every night. If both of those are under control and youre still progressing, get on that fin asap. Seriously don't waste time. I regret waiting. Oh and I tried the topical minoxidil + finasteride spray from hims and it was like hair loss in a bottle. Avoid like the plague. They push it bc they make a lot more money off of it than they do prescribing the pills. You want the pills.

One question: your new hair didn't shed at all? I've read it everywhere that the new transplanted hair will fall out after 2-8 weeks, because of the 'shock' of the operation. But from your timeline, it's just keeps growing. Would be very curious of your answer!
@Gabiche
@Gabiche 3 года назад
Indeed, I experienced very little to no shedding at all. Perhaps because I did the dhi technique? Which is a bit different than most hair transplants, or perhaps because my body didn't experience such a shock. I did notice a difference in density for a while, so that must have been that loss. But nothing extreme. Anyhow, I don't know why my body didn't respond more 🤷‍♂️

Hey klopt het dat je Nederland of België woont? Vanwaar heb je dan een kliniek gekozen in Frankrijk, denk je dat deze beter is dan de klinieken in Nederland?
@Gabiche
@Gabiche 3 года назад

@Gabiche
@Gabiche 3 года назад
Hi David, I'm sorry to hear that you're still patiently waiting for your hair to grow. There are multiple reasons why it takes longer. It can be because of genetics, your body perhaps need more time to grow those implanted hairs. Secondly, the technique was perhaps different, I did a DHI intervention which is still slightly different from a regular FUE and FUT transplant. With the DHI, you immediately have small tiny hairs since the beginning. I'm not sure if that's the case with other transplants. Also, shedding is something common for most people after a hair transplant, so you lose some hair in the beginning (but it will grow back). I personally never experienced much of that. All in all, the end results are only visible after 12 months (sometimes after 18 months) so I'm sure you don't need to worry. It will eventually grow 🙂 The hardest part now is waiting! I wish you all the best and happy growing with your new hair. Congrats on the hair transplant, David!
