These Psalms of praise bring to mind our recent trip. My wife and I just spent two weeks in Alaska and His praise was on my lips and in my thoughts constantly, because evidence of His wonderfully beautiful creation was all around us and I was grateful for the chance to see it.

I can't help but think of and sing Brandon Lake's song, "Praaaaiiise the Lord, oh my soul!" It's one of my favorites and my boys and I sing it from the depths of our souls! Psalm 147 reminds me of my favorite things about Him. He heals the brokenhearted. He binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars and calls them by name. He is mighty in power, His understanding is infinite. He lifts up the humble and casts the wicked to the ground. Praise the Lord, oh my soul!

Aloha and praise the Lord BR family. Psalm 146:1" I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live". I am forever grateful to the Lord for his continuous blessing. He is a healer; this I know because He healed me 50 years ago with breast cancer. Let’s spend sometime today thanking and praising God for He is good; His mercy is forever. I think last year or 2 years ago, Psalms 146 was my scripture for the year. Asides Psalms 150, 146 has had my love because it just in a chapter shows you expedient reasons why you should trust God.

My God shot today comes from Psalm 147:5 NIV, “Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.” God’s knowledge is limitless. He is omniscient. Who better to trust for everything than the one who knows everything?

Our God is worthy of praise! He is the maker of heaven and earth (Ps 134:3, 146:6); He upholds the cause of the oppressed and sets prisoners free (Ps 146:7).; He sustains the fatherless and the widow (Ps 146:9); He heals the brokenhearted (Ps 147:3). "Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness." Psalm 150:21 "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." ( Ps 150:6)

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭147‬:‭3‬ ‭ESV‬‬ To all the fatherless, those who had fathers who are abusive in any form, or suffer from rejection and abandonment, this God shot is for you… This scripture reminds me of the story that I tell children what hell is like. How they’re injured and there’s no one there to save them only to make it worse. Today’s readings, I see a God, who feeds and clothes, loves the righteous and when we’re sick or sin, even after we fall He heals our hearts, and He’s like a surgeon who fixes our wounds. He loves His children so much. He’s such a good Father. For such a holy God, who cannot know sin, He keeps extending His grace and mercy time after time after time. So, if you have a father, who did not follow Jesus, look to the Father, the Great, I am, the Creator of heaven and earth, to fulfill your desire for love and protection.

Uncorked: praise for God the creator, the king, the Righteous One, absolutely explodes in these Psalms, covering us like the sprayed champagne at the end of an F1 race. But what does it really mean for “every created thing” to praise the LORD (Ps 148:5)? How can something without voice, without conscience, praise the Lord: sun and moon, twinkling stars, vapors above the clouds, creatures of the ocean depths, fire and hail, snow and clouds (Ps 148:3,4,7,8)? It’s their design and their purpose that praise Him. We, who love God, see the “Intelligent Design” as the infused Logos (Jn 1:3) throughout all creation. His purpose in all these miracles-for with all our ability to see into space, no one has found anything like God’s creation on earth (there is no evidence, only speculation and science fiction)-is to let us sing “Glory to God in the Highest” loudly (hear Red Rocks Worship sing this, raising the roof with a “clash of cymbals,” Ps 150:5)!
@KM-lu7nh

When I read the verse about every created thing praising him, I imagined the flowers blooming, trees budding, the wind blowing, the water trickling etc. as their way of whispering their praises to God.

Psalm 134- May the Lord bless you from Zion Psalm 146- don’t put on people the kind of trust that only God can give us. Blessed- brings happiness. Trust in God brings such joy. Psalm 147- God is attentive to the broken-hearted. In all of God’s creation He delights most in humanity. Especially in those who know Him and trust Him. To love God and trust God invites His pleasure. If we have trouble with love and trust we can ask God for His help. Psalm 148- everything praise God! Psalm 149 - praising and dancing before the Lord. We see God’s vengeance mentioned here as a means of justice. Psalm 150- everything praising God We see the Lord reaching out to humanity in all its forms. He reaches out to us ALL. Our God WILL reign forever.

Open my hand and loosen my grip is my prayer for today. 148:14-He has raised up a horn for His people. I see Jesus as the Horn of Salvation thst God has raised up for His people. And in 149:6 I see the two-edged sword as the Word of God that His people hold in their hands and He executes judgment and vengeance from when He returns.

Praise Him for what He has done- in creating the world, in redeeming His people, in caring for them throughout their history. Psalm 146:7. "He sets the prisoner free". In Matthew 11 and 14, Jesus'cousin, John the Baptist sat in jail for a year and a half without a word or visit from Jesus. Then he was beheaded. I would love someone to help me understand this Thank you.

When John despaired, he sent messengers to Jesus to ask Him if He is the one, and Jesus replied at Matt 11:4-6: “Tell him what you have seen: the lame walk, the blind see, lepers are cured, the dead hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is preached to the poor. Blessed are those who do not fall away because of Me.” Jesus is quoting prophecies of the Messiah, and He knows that John knows that. And The Chosen s4 e1 dramatizes this powerfully and beautifully: as John dies, he sees the Lamb, and says “Thank you.” It’s as heart-rending as it is glorifying.
